Trick Or Treat

*~*My POV*~*

" What are we doing here? " Misaki asked. " I have been saving money, and I finally have enough to buy us some Halloween costumes " She said. " Why? " She asked. " Because this year we can go get candy~ " She said, pulling her inside the store. " Sis, go pick out a great Halloween costume, and I'll do the same. Then we'll meet up here again " She said. " But Suzuna— " Misaki was cut off. " Go go go! " She said, walking away to the middle schoolers sections. " She seems really excited... " Misaki sweat dropped.

~Later~

Misaki picked out a nice red riding outfit. And Suzuna had a black cat outfit. " I can't remember the last time we went trick or treating " Suzuna said. " Yeah. That's right. " Misaki agreed. " Hello Misa " Usui said walking behind her. " Stop! Don't scare me like that stupid usui! " She said. " Wow. Misa what a coincidence. Your little red riding hood, and I'm a wolf. This must fate " He winked. " Huh? T-there's no fate involved! It's just a coincidence " She said.

" I called him and told to be a wolf. Pretty sneaky huh? " Suzuna said. " More annoying " Misaki rolled her eyes. " Misaki!! " Sakura said jumping over to them with Shizuko and Kuugaz following her. Sakura was a bunny, Shizuko was a zombie, and Kuuga was a vampire. " Hey, Sakura. Shizuko... why are you walking like that? " Misaki asked. " I spent weeks studying zombies and finally got the walk down packed " She smiled, pushing her glasses up. " This is everyone right...? " Usui said.

" Nope. My friend is coming so we've gotta wait a bit more " Suzuna said. Then Aratake walked over to them. He was a burglar. " Why did I even agree to this? " He groaned. " Alright. Now we're all here " Suzuna said, marching leading the crowd. " I've never seen Suzuna this excited " Misaki commented. " I've never seen her even a little bit happy. How can you tell at all with that blank stare of hers? " Aratake asked. " I guess I would know since I live with her. But her persona, and her voice are really all I need to tell " Misaki softly smiled.

" Trick or Treat! " Suzuna said, knocking on the first door. The woman put a hand full of candy in each of their baskets. They thanked her and then walk to the next house. This time there was a plastic cauldron with candy. " Jackpot! " Aratake said, scooping out the candy. " It says only to take a handful " Misaki said. " So? " Aratake asked. " Your supposed to follow the rules " Misaki says. " It's not like they're gonna chase us to get it back " He rolled his eyes.

" Do you really wanna have this argument with me? " She asked raising a brow. " Trust me you don't want to. If looks could kill, that scary face would've been the culprit to murders all around her school " Kuuga said. She glared at him. " Hey Misaki! There's a haunted house over there!! Let's go! " Suzuna said, pulling her. " Hey Suzuna wait— Ugh, fine " She sighed.

~Inside~

" If you get scared, you can always hold my hand Misa " Usui said. " Thank you but that won't be necessary " She said. " But she's holding his hand anyways... " Aratake said to Suzuna. " My sister says a lot of things while doing the opposite " She shrugged. " They all were jumping at the sudden scares in the house, first ghosts, then zombies, then arms popping up from the ground. They were running through it like their lives depended on it.

~After~

" Okay. I'm sure we all can agree that we won't do anymore haunted houses.... " Misaki said. They all nodded in agreement. " You like scary things huh? " Aratake asked. " Yeah. It's really fun actually. Even though it's scary, you can laugh after because you know you were screaming over nothing " She said. " So, then laugh. Or smile " He said. " What? " She asked. " Smile " He shrugged. " I... " She said. " Think about everything that just happened. The trick or treating. The haunted house with all the jump scares. And smile " He said.

She does so, thinking about it. She really enjoyed Halloween when her father was still there. And when she thought about how she got to hang out with her friends today, she actually did it. " You just smiled! " He said, getting a little excited. " I did " She said, and now she couldn't stop. She'd forgotten how to be this happy.
