It took him 5 minutes to do all his morning 'stuff'. Since he was already late and an angry Jimin was the last thing he wanted in his life... he decided to take a quick shower, instead of his normal elaborate cleaning process which lasted for about 1-2 hours.
After he was done with all that, he put on an oversized hoodie and black jeans and ran out of his apartment at the speed of light.
He got on the first bus he saw and just stared outside through the window. His pulse rate was increasing and he could feel it.
Getting a job as a salesman might sound like simple thing, but in this case it wasn't. He was not going to work in some typical-street-cloth shop.
His workplace had the most expensive, high end, trendy... basically 'rich people' clothes. He had do an online course which lasted for about 2 weeks and then had to fill out a questionnaire which made absolutely no sense, to get this job.
He would've never made it if it wasn't for Jimin's cousin. Oh, Jimin's cousin. An 'ugh' left Taehyung's mouth almost involuntarily.
Of course he was thankful for the job. But if that dude hadn't moved into Seoul and bought an apartment with two bedrooms and lots of space... Jimin would've still been with Taehyung.
But he would never blame Jimin for moving out. It was almost like a war, living in that apartment. There were many nights when Jimin was kicked off the bed and many others when Jimin woke up with Taehyung's hand around his neck... choking him.
None of it was intentional of course. There was just very little space and two grown men. Bathroom schedules were the worst. But all of it was over now since Jimin moved out.
Sometimes Taehyung secretly wished to drug that cousin and lock him in his ugly apartment and go live with Jimin.
But that was never going to happen. Or was it?
Before Taehyung's thoughts could get any more murderous, the bus came to a halt, putting a stopper to his thoughts. He hopped off the bus and paused.
The word, 'HEATHER' was written in big beautiful letters on the sign board which was dimly lit. "Okay... This is it.", he said to no one in particular and walked towards the showroom.
It wasn't opening time yet. So he walked around the shop to reach the back door and pushed it open. Thankfully it was unlocked but there was no one in sight.
"Um... Hello?", Taehyung spoke like the wind. (A/n: idk what to write)
"Who are you sir?", he was startled by a sudden unexpected reply from inside. It was a young lady, wearing a navy blue pencil skirt and a white shirt tucked in. Hair tied in a bun and atleast an inch thick layer of makeup on her face.
"It's not opening time yet and this entrance is for employees only." she spoke in the most kindest way possible.
"Oh actually I'm here for a job as the sales-"
"You're Kim Taehyung?" she asked, to which Taehyung only nodded.
"Today is your first day and look at the time! This is not some average place where you can just walk in and walk out whenever you want."
She paused, adjusting her hair a bit. "Late. coming. will. not. be. tolerated." She waited for an answer but Taehyung was already scared of the lady.
"I am- um- Sorry, I didn't know- I mean like, t-the time n' all-"
"Just give the kid a break Jennie... It's his first day for god's sake." said a familiar voice. A voice Taehyung didn't want to hear.
"Oh hey Yoongi... Please teach your cousin how to talk to humans. It's so annoying." Jennie said as she walked away without waiting for an answer.
"Cousin's friend... but yeah I'll teach him." Yoongi said with a smug look on his face.
Taehyung rolled his eyes. "Min Yoongi... How are you?"
"I know you don't give a shit 'bout how I am, so how about we just get right into the job?" Yoongi said.
"Okay why not?"
Yoongi walked ahead and Taehyung simply followed.

"... and this is Jisoo, that one's Rose, then that dude standing right there- that's Wooyoung and finally Jennie whom you already met."
Yoongi had just taken Taehyung around the whole showroom introducing all the employees to him. The only names he could remember were Jennie because she was 'the scary lady' and BamBam because he was 'the hot deddy'.
But what he certainly did remember were all the expensive items he saw during his little tour- shirts, bags, caps, shoes, accessories... every single thing in the shop definitely costed more than Taehyung's life. Even the gum they gave out in the reception was expensive.
Yoongi lead Taehyung into the staff room and showed him a locker.
"This is gonna be yours from now on... And here... Wear this." he said handing out a white shirt and navy blue pants.
"Then what else... Never talk back to the customers, or get annoyed or try to correct them, and smile at all times. Basically treat them like gods-" Yoongi spoke sounding all serious.
Taehyung could only nod. If something pissed him off, it would be visible on his face and he couldn't do anything about it.
"...and finally don't steal... you're never gonna get away with it. The dude before you, stole a dress for his girlfriend and got caught. No one's heard from him after that. So just don't do anything stupid, kid."
"Okay... thank you for your 'advice' and don't call me kid." Taehyung said looking more annoyed than ever.
"It was not an 'advice', just stating the facts- oh look at the time, it's 9 am already. Imma' go to my section. So just remember your course and that questionnaire and shit. Bye." Yoongi walked away.
"Ehehe bye... "
Taehyung lowkey wanted Yoongi to stay. But he didn't even want to imagine Yoongi's face if he said that to the latter.
"I'm gonna be okay... I mean it's just some people who are shopping right. Some rich people. What's the worst that could happen?" He said to himself and smiled.
A smile he had to keep on his face all day long.
