Hinata was secretly diagnosed with Hanahaki disease for (Y/n). Hinata never told (Y/n) and the cause of that, Hinata's case got worse because it turns out that (Y/n)'s favorite flower was poisonous. It tortured Hinata...Everyday...he coughs up a toxic flower that could've killed him there on the spot. He couldn't remove the flower petals from his lungs through surgery because he doesn't have enough money.

His family even told him to quit volleyball cause it might make the disease worse but he refuses because it's the only thing he loves besides (Y/n). You see (Y/n) is kind and sweet to everybody especially Shoyo but (Y/n)'s a sociopath, if you get hurt mentally, physically, or emotionally he could care less. (Sorry my dude but I'm making you saltier than tsukki.and a tad bit heartless as you can see in the title.)

Hinata's teammates have now been taking it easy with him because of his disease. A lot of times, his teammates (mostly Suga) have asked Hinata: "Who's the person?" But usually, Hinata would just say: "I forgot his name." or "Nobody." Which makes NO TOTAL SENSE. Hinata's friends have been begging him to confront (Y/n) and tell him how he feels to finally end his suffering but Hinata doesn't want to. He thought to have physical pain was better than to live the suffering of (Y/n) saying "goodbye." But for the sake of his health and the worry of his friends and family, he finally decides to confront him.

It was Friday morning, Hinata's last day to confront (Y/n) (as told by the doctors) before he...dies. (Y/n) agreed to meet Hinata by the cherry tree. (Yandere simulator vibes anyone?)

Hinata: "H-hey (Y-Y/n) you might have known by now that I-I have hanahaki disease r-right?"

(Y/n): "Oh right! Aww! Are you here to tell me that you already cured?"

Hinata: "Oh...n-no."

(Y/n): "Then what do you want to tell me?

Hinata: "I wanted to tell you that..y-you're the reason I have..the disease."

(Y/n)'s bubbly and happy face melted into a dead, cold-hearted one. Hinata was shocked by (Y/n)'s unfamiliar face expression since he's always soft, cute, happy, and bubbly.

(A/n: Okay this is the part where you become a heartless fuck and I'm sorry but I just wanna try angst)

(Y/n): "And...you expect me to return the feelings?"

Hinata: "W-wait what?"

(Y/n): "Look Shoyo I love you..."

Hinata was about to say I love you too till:

(Y/n): "As a friend."

Hinata's heart shattered to pieces, he started coughing up (Y/n)'s favorite and poisonous flower.

(Y/n): "Huh...(F/f) petals...my favorite..."

Hinata: "(Y-Y/n) *cough* *cough* help...*cough* me.

Hinata fell to his knees still coughing while (Y/n) bent down to his level and lifted his chin.

(Y/n): "I could care less whether you live or you die..."

Hinata's eyes filled up with tears as (Y/n) said those words.

Hinata was still coughing while (Y/n stood there...

Heartless...

Bonus ending:

Hinata's mother was crying over his son's death, saying: "My son, my son."

Hinata's friends and family were also crying, while some silently, others rather loudly but no one blamed them, Hinata was a good person, no one would've expected him to die of hanahaki, moreover no one would've expected someone to reject such a great kid.

Even though (Y/n) was the cause of Hinata's death, he didn't want to be rude and ignore him, so he went to his funeral/burial and said silently to him...

"Sorry, Shoyo...I don't...love you that way..."

As (Y/n) walked away from Hinata's coffin he felt someone punched him in the stomach.

????: "How fucking dare you..."

Well, well...it was the king of the court.....Kageyama Tobio.

Kageyama: "WHY DID YOU JUST LET HIM DIE??!?!?"

Suga: "Kageyama--"

Kageyama: "BULLSHIT!!!!! WHY WOULD YOU TURN HIM DOWN LIKE THAT HUH?!?!?!?!"
