The next day Betty got a phone call (she was still in bed btw). She thought it was Veronica again but it was the sheriff's office. She picked up her phone and sat up. In a groggy voice she said "hello?" "Hi. This is Elizabeth Jones, correct?" The deputy replied. Jughead slowly woke up beside her. "Yes this is." She said. Jughead mouthed the words "Who is that?" Betty mouthed back "Sheriff's office." The deputy then said "Is your husband with you?" Betty replied "Yes. Should I put you on speaker?""Yes please.." He said. Betty put him on speaker. "Alright you're on speaker." She said."Okay. So firstly, we would like to apologize for broadcasting what happened without your concent but RIVW needed a story and they pressured us into telling them and just as a warning the story might also be in the newspaper." Betty, who was the boss at the register, was infuriated. "Oh well the Register sure won't be writing it." Jughead rubbed her shoulder." Right..of course Mrs. Jones. Um but I also called to let you know that someone spotted Kyle Lawrence flee Riverdale yesterday. The sheriff can give you more information in person. Can you come by this afternoon?" At 1:45 they got into the car and they took Amelia with them. Amelia now knew that Kyle was out of Riverdale. The sheriff asked to only speak with Betty and Jughead so Amelia stood outside the door. She then saw someone enter through the back but it wasn't anyone who worked at the station. It was Mr. Lawrence.

When Betty and Jughead were done with the sheriff Betty went outside of the office first. "Hey Jug...? Where's Amelia?" Jughead was surprised by the question. He left the office behind Betty. "What?" Jughead asked. He saw that his daughter wasn't there. "Maybe she went to the washroom." The couple checked all around the station. Amelia was nowhere to be found. "Where is she?" Betty said letting out sobs. Jughead hugged her. "I don't know...I don't know.." Jughead said.
Amelia woke up in a ditch with only underwear on. Her clothes were scattered around her. She was tired and when she tried to sit up she winced. She put on her shirt and started to cry.
