Jungkook's POV

"Nice to see you, Taehyung." A forced smile left my lips while eyeing the man in front of me. We accidentally met a week after the news broke about him and Y/N getting married. His hands were on his pockets while looking uninterested. We were both standing in the playground where we used to hang-out when we were younger. Luckily, it was night time and the place was empty. "I bet you're very much happy now," the sarcasm in my voice made him quickly turn his attention to me.

He let out a dry laugh before saying, "Never been this happy Jungkook". He smirked afterwards.

"Kim Taehyung!" I almost yelled as my blood boiled in anger. I walked towards him and grabbed his collar. Surprisingly, he didn't fight back. Instead his smile grew wider and it was pissing me off. "Lee Y/N is mine," I gritted my teeth.

"How can you be so sure of that?" His voice was mocking me. Uncontrollably, my emotions got to me and my fist landed on his cheek, making him lie on the ground. "Is this how you are going to show your love for her?" He questioned me.

I quickly got on top of him and was about to throw another punch when he spoke again. This time his eyes turned soft and caring. "Do you really love Y/N?"

"Why are you marrying her?!" I responded to his question with a question.

"It is supposed to be an arranged marriage Jungkook," he said as a tear slipped down his eye. "Supposed to be?" My voice became shaky as I slowly let go of him and stood up. "She left. I told Y/N that I don't want to cancel the wedding yet, that I have a plan. I want to see you get ruined, just like how you broke her heart," Taehyung explained as he sat up, wiping the tiny blood from his lips. "But she didn't agree to it," he added while forcing a smile. "She didn't want to see you get hurt or broken. She always wanted the best for you. She always wanted to see you happy."

I could hear the pain in Taehyung's voice. "Where is she?" I asked as I turned around to look at him. "She's gone," he sadly spoke. "What do you mean gone?" I asked out of frustration.

"She didn't come back after visiting a friend in Japan, because our parents don't want to cancel the wedding. We didn't know where she went to," Taehyung spoke while trying to stand up. I was a bit hesitant to help him but still I did it. He's still my friend. I offered my hand which he gladly took. After a few seconds, his lips curved up, "Thanks."

"I know that you like Y/N. More than a friend does," I said meeting his gaze. He looked so shocked. Then, I continued, "The way you look at her and the way you care for her. How you treated her even when Y/N and I were still dating."

"And you still did nothing?"

"Yeah," I rubbed the back of my neck shyly. "Why?" The curious man in front of me asked.

"Because I trust her." My eyes glistened with the thought of her. I must have been stupid to let you go Lee Y/N.

"Then, why did you break up with her and marry another girl?"

"I was blinded back then. I thought Y/N's love was suffocating so I broke up with her and married someone else. But I was wrong. I keep coming back to her. And I think it's too late now..."

Taehyung walked close to me putting an arm around my shoulder, "You know it's never too late." A reassuring smile formed his lips. Then he continued, "We got all the friends we need."

Y/N's POV

Like what I promised Jun, I visited Japan to bid him a proper goodbye. I will surely miss him as a dear friend. I told my mom and dad that I will only be visiting Japan for a few days and will return home as soon as possible. But I didn't. They never wanted to cancel the wedding. So, after meeting Jun, I flew somewhere, to a place where I know they won't find me. Now here I am, standing in a field full of beautiful red roses. I spread my arms out wide and took a deep breath, "I wish my life will always be like this. Worry free."
