Within the next hour, the drama went away. Jessica pulls out her favorite book To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee and began to read. While reading, she watched the others. John lit a match to his shoe and smoked a cigarette. Princess was staring into space and Johnson was looking at the red head. Andrew pulled the strings of his blue hoodie back and forth and the weird girl wrapped string around her finger making it turn purple.

As John smoked, he glanced at Jessica. He couldn't put a finger on what he found interesting about her. It was probably her boldness and laid back vibe.

John puts out the fire with his fist and played air guitar. Jessica glanced at the basket case who was shaking her hair to get dandruff out onto a drawing. The blonde smiled.

John dozes off and Jessica found herself getting tired. She falls asleep on her desk.

The other four teens fell asleep as well.

Vernon glared at the sleeping students.

"Wake up!" He ordered.

No response.

"Who has to go to the lavatory?" The principal asked.

Without realizing, all six hands were raised in the air.

The time was now 10:22. Jessica leaned against the rail. John was sitting on a library desk tearing book pages out. Andrew was stretching out his right leg. Brian was reading a book and Cherry was messing with her pencil.

"That's real intelligent," Andrew commented; watching John tear the pages out.

"You're right," John replied. "It's wrong to destroy literature, such fun to read and..."

He paused and flipped the book over.

"Molay really pumps my nads," John read the title.

"Moliere," Cherry and Jessica said in unison.

The flame haired prom queen glared at the bohemian girl. John just looked at both of them.

"I love his work," said Johnson.

John threw the book pages at the geek causing him to cower.

He rolls his eyes before slamming down the book and placing cards in the wrong places.

"Big deal there's nothing to do when you're locked in a vacancy;"

"Speak for yourself," Andrew said dryly.

"Do you think I speak for you?" John demanded. "I don't even know your language,"

Andrew turned away.

"Hey you grounded tonight?" He asked Cherry.

"I don't know, my mom said I was." She replied shrugging. "My dad told me just to blow her off,"

Andrew glanced at John to see if he was listening before continuing.

"There's a big party at Stubby's, his parents are in Europe. Are you going to go?"

Jessica rolled her eyes. Stubby was one of the most obnoxious guys at Shermer High she'd ever known.

She walks over to the table where the girl in black was sitting.

"Can I sit here?" Jessica asked.

The quiet girl nodded.

Jessica sits down. "You're in my art class, right?"

"Yes," The brunette said quietly.

"You draw really well,"

"Thanks,"
