Yedam can hear a piano down the hallway as he walks past the practice studios. He peeks into each room, the suspense building until he finally finds YJ behind a grand piano. Since when did YG have grand pianos?
"Yedam hyung" Junghwan calls out, "what are you doing?"
"Nothing." Yedam looks at the approaching cow king baby and leads him to their dance practice room.
"Where did you guys go last night?? You got home so late." Junkyu badgers Yedam.
"Yeah, it couldn't have just been dinner." Hyunsuk chimes in.
Not wanting to get anyone in trouble, Yedam keeps the club and drinking part to himself. "It really was mostly dinner." He felt bad not telling his fellow members the whole truth, but it didn't seem appropriate, not yet anyway.
Going crazy I'm going crazyGoing crazy I'm going crazy for you
I've fallen for you I'm in love with you (I'm going crazy)
This must be crazy love
This must be crazy love
I don't want this one-sided love
This is crazy love (I'm not crazy)
I did not even see, that you and I are having a party
Your deep scent that it keeps me getting caught
I danced like crazy giving you my name
24/7 a day worried everyday, I keep hovering my head I'm going crazy
Why are you further away from me when I go closer to you
I want to be breathing by your side
You don't know how I feel
For some reason, every song was starting to remind Yedam of YJ. He was having a hard time getting her out of his head and it was literally making him go crazy.
After practice, he walks past YJ's practice room again and see's her leaning forward with her head resting on the piano.
When the boys step outside, exhausted and eager to head back home to shower, Yedam stays back and watches them leave.
"I'm going to practice a little more." Yedam explains.
When they're no longer in sight, he walks into a nearby donut shop where he's welcomed by the sweet smell of fried dough. There's only a few people ahead of him so he takes his time looking at the different flavors behind the glass display.
"Next." A somewhat apathetic voice calls out. Yedam looks up at the young woman behind the counter. "Can I take your order?" she asks.
"It's my first time here, what do you recommend?" Yedam asks.
Her slightly annoyed facial expression takes him by surprise. "I don't like any of them, but the chocolate glaze with crunchy cocoa nibs is a popular choice." she responds. Her voice is low and somewhat raspy.
Yedam tries to hold in his smile as he spots the manager staring daggers at the girl's back. "I'll take two of those and two iced coffees please." he quickly orders.
As Yedam leaves, he could just barely hear the manager scolding the cashier. "Sekyung-shi! What did I tell you abou–"
He walks back towards YJ's practice room and takes a peek through the window. Her head is still resting against the piano.
Yedam enters the room and takes a seat next to YJ on the piano bench. He's balancing himself on the edge so as not to touch her.
He can hear her even breaths and light snoring, until a loud offbeat snort startles her awake. Yedam, startled as well, holds in his laughter.
"Huh?" She looks around confused until she sees Yedam smiling next to her. "How long was I asleep?"
"Maybe a little over an hour."
"How long have you been sitting there?"
"Less than 30 seconds."
"Is that coffee for me?"
"Yes."
"What's in the box?"
"Donuts."
"Will you marry me?"
"I'll think about it." Yedam responds smartly.
They both break into laughter. YJ gets up first bringing the iced coffees to the small table by the window. Her eyes light up when Yedam opens the box of donuts.
"What flavor is that?" she asks.
"Chocolate glaze with crunchy cocoa nibs."
"Oh." YJ's face falls.
"You don't like chocolate?"
"I'm allergic."
"Really?" His heart begins to sink.
"Kidding!" She grabs one of the donuts and stuffs it into her mouth.
Satisfied with her reaction, Yedam picks up the plastic knife and fork and cuts himself a bite-sized piece.
YJ watches in amusement at the proper young man in front of her take a bite. He doesn't even get any glaze on his mouth.
In contrast to his civility, she licks her fingers before taking a sip of coffee. "Aah that's good."
"Do you have a lot left to practice?" Yedam asks.
"Just a little, I have a show tonight." YJ confesses.
"Tonight?? Where?"
"At another bar. It'll be a small intimate show, I'm doing it as a favor."
"Will you text me details? I'd like to come if you don't mind."
"Is this your sneaky way of getting my number?" YJ teases.
"How else am I supposed to reply to your marriage proposal?" Yedam shoots back.
"Touché."
