Dawns PoV
I walked outside and sat on a rock in the garden. I picked a yellow flower and twirled it in my hand. I wiped away my tears with my sleeve and thought to myself.
Why was I so upset?
Was it because he was scared? That he didn't know me?
I...miss him?
I remember how he used to play pranks... Tell me that he loved me, his soft lips brushing up against mine...
And I had to go and ruin it.
I'm happy for him though. He has someone who will hopefully stay with him forever, someone who won't crush his heart like a flower petal.
I hear the door open behind me, and I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Hey Alesa."
"You ok?"
"I'm fine."
Even as I said it, I knew that wasn't the least bit true.
"I know... But we can't break down each time we see the Adam of this dimension." She said.
"I've realized that." I spat.
"His condition is worsening. We need to help him. Even if he doesn't know us, like us, or want us."
I sigh in defeat and stand up. Notch, sometimes I really don't like her.
We walked back into the house, and Sky was on his front with his back exposed.
"Um... He said he was sorry by the way- he said you looked like someone he knew." Said Jerome. "He passed out again a minute ago."
All of them looked guilty (minus Sky, cuz' his face is in the couch)... Except for Seto. He looked suspicious. I guess he kind of has a reason to be.
"Well, his pulse is thready, but I need to know what happened to him." I said firmly.
"Stabbed. Gold dust on blade. Owwy." Said Seto.
As he explained what gold dust did, I let my mind wander, remembering all the good times. The old days. Notch, that makes me feel old.
"-and so there's the just of it." Finished Seto, as I was jolted back to reality.
"Alright, well first we're gonna have to get that gold dust out somehow. Then stitch it up, and somehow treat the infection."
Seto went to work on Adam, attempting some sort of spells. Meanwhile, Alesa and I brought out the brewing stand and started making vamped healing potions.
Ty and Jason had soon gone upstairs, perhaps to discuss battle plans. Jerome was sitting in the chair, sleeping.
"Spider's eye." I whispered, not wanting to disturb anyone. Alesa handed me a squishy red spider eye, and I grimaced as I put it in the potion.
A lot of sweat, stress and anxiety later, the healing potion was ready. I carefully put a cork on the bottle.
"Seto-" I started, only to see him leaning on the couch arm, silently sleeping.
"Dawn? I think you should put the potion on his back." Whispered Alesa.
I shook my head.
"No, we have to get that gold dust out first. Can you get a bucket of water?""Can do."
Alesa got up from her kneeling position, stretched, and walked into the kitchen.
I gently took Adams hand and tried to find his pulse.
Nothing.
I told myself to calm down, deep breaths, maybe you're just stressed?
I put my fingers to his neck.
Nothing.
I put my head to his chest.
Nothing.
"ALESA COME QUICK!" I yelled as I quickly went into action and performed CPR.
Seto and Jerome's heads shot up, and I could hear footsteps rushing down the stairs.
"COME HELP!" I yelled frantically.
Seto put his hand to Adams chest, and started rambling.
"C'mon, c'mon..." Whispered Seto.
Jerome grabbed one of the healing potions, and held it to Adams lips and trickled it down his throat.
I put my head to his chest.
Ba-bump. Ba-bump. (Much real I know)
I leaned back and sighed in relief. He wasn't dead. He was alive. I could possibly talk to him later.
"Holy crap. Remind me never to get in a life-or-death situation again." Panted Jerome.
"Ditto for that."
"Thank Notch he's ok." Said Ty.
"We aren't done yet, Alesa, you got that bucke-"
An audible CRASH! Caused us to all turn around to the door.
Three figures had broke down the door, and held diamond swords.
They charged, the boys scrambling to retrieve their weapons.
One of the cloaked figures faced me, so I yanked my hunting knife from my boot, and threw it. It stuck right in the leg, and the figure stumbled back into a corner.
I take the chance to see one figure holding off Jerome, Seto, Ty, Jason and Alesa. How, I have no idea. He almost seemed like a superhuman.
One guy had strayed from the others, and hefted his bow, and got ready to fire.
I place myself in front of Sky, and grabbed a vase of flowers and threw it. I heard a grunt of pain as the vase hit its mark.
Turns out that wasn't the only thing that hit its mark.

First I just want to thank you guys for the continued support for my story, and reading. I'm going through some tough times right now, school is getting more difficult, and there have been some family members having problems with health...
At the end of the day, I come here, and escape into different worlds, where most of the time it's better than mine.But- thank you. Next chapter will be up as soon as I can write it.
