As much as she dreaded Fairy Godmother's lecture during their class hours, this is what really killed her. Walking down the long bricked pathway with the four of them as if nothing was wrong. Her head was held strong and stood up proudly as she remained unfazed and put up an act. Knowing that if she was perceived as weak, there's no way anyone would take her seriously.
Behind them, they could all hear the ear deafening squeals and giggles of the girls who roamed the halls and watched as Jay passed them. They were all hoping he would ask them to Cotillion, but yet he hasn't asked anyone yet.
"Why do you torture them? Just pick someone to take to Cotillion already." Carlos said laughing, looking at Jay.
That statement made Scarlett's heart ache, but not as much as the second one did.
"I'm going solo. That way I can dance with all of them." As her head was held high, she marched past all of them into their classroom.
Her eyes were filled with tears as she marched through their classroom to the library. That's where she has been spending most of her time now, seeing as Jay or the rest of them never really come on here anyways.
Her bag sat down on the chair next to her at her usual spot as she began to get everything out that she would need to continue to work on the current art project that she had been working on for so very long. It was suppose to be Jay's early birthday present which was on their 2 year anniversary, but seeing as that wasn't going to happen she decided to just make it simple and classic.
Soon, time got away from her and it was late in the day. Her arms and back were aching from all of the work she was doing for so long. So, she hurriedly packed up and began making ger way back to her bedroom.
On the way there she heard the clashing of swords coming from the practice room. Carefully and slowly, she walked over to the doors and stepped inside just as she saw the fencing team almost finish their practice for today. Seeing Carlos participate made her so happy, she was grateful that he wasn't under his mother's control anymore.
Soon it was just Jay and another person in the center, this person sure was making Jay run for his money. Scarlett was laughing softly as Jay soon got his sword taken away from him, but once she caught sight of who was under the helmet her eyes went red with anger. Scarlett tried to keep it under control, but it didn't work.
Standing up I, she made her way out of the practice area, holding the painting that had dried in her arms as more tears began to spill out of her eyes. Scarlett's body was completely exhausted as she hid herself in her room, it wasn't like herself to be completely drained of energy like this. It didn't make any sense to Scarlett.
Once her energy was restored in her body, she climbed up onto the bed as she sat there, swinging her legs back and forth until her shin hit something hard and wooden under her bed. Scarlett didn't remember what it was, so she bent down and pulled it out. It was her old treasure chest that Harry gave to her from his collection.
Her frown soon turned upside down and made Scaelett think of all the memories she had as young little minnows. Sighing softly, Scarlett placed her hand on the lock and jiggled it a bit to unlock it. Pushing the top open and smiling more at the memories that littered the entire box. In the middle of the box was an old pirates hat that sat ontop of bunch of jems and gold coins that weren't worth a single penny to her except the memories that were hidden inside of them.
