"Mr. Castro right?"

One of the girl staff asked me.

"Yes."

"Your secretary inform us na pupunta po kayo dito. What can we do for you?"

"My brother needs help."

Tinapik ko sa braso si Jake at hinayaan siyang makipagusap doon sa babae.

Lumapit ako sa kung saan nakapwesto si Elaine.

"Do you like that?"

"Yes kuya. I really do, it's so beautiful!"

Sambit niya habang nakatingin doon sa kulay grey with a touch of pink na gown. Patube ang top nito at lobong-lobo ang baba.

"Should we buy it right now?"

"I don't know, if you buy it I can only use that in my 18th birthday and that's too far away pa."

"We can reserve it?"

Ngumiti siya sa'kin at umiling.

"No kuya, I'm good. There's no use if we buy that."

"You can use it in our family ball?"

"I still have a lot of gowns at home so maybe I should wear that first."

"Good girl."

Ginulo ko ang buhok niya.

"Kuya my hair!"

Binuhat ko siya at pinisil ang ilong.

"You're not a baby anymore, 'wag ka munang magpa-paligaw ah?"

"What?"

"Nothing, I said Kuya Hugo is handsome right?"

"You're really handsome Kuya but you don't have a jowa."

"Jowa? Where did you learn that word?"

"From the maids, they said "Sa---yang wala... Pang jowa si Sir Hugo." I always here that from them but what's the meaning of that Kuya?"

Napailing na lang ako dahil medyo nahirapan pa siyang banggitin ang pangungusap na iyon.

"Don't mind them."

She just nod her head.

Sinamahan ko lang si Elaine tumingin-tingin ng mga gowns habang hinihintay sila Jake at Dette.

Patuloy lang kami sa paglibot sa boutique nang mapadpad kami sa mga wedding gowns.

"What's your ideal wedding kuya?"

"Simple but elegant."

"And what gown do you prefer for your bride?"

"It's her choice baby."

"Really? Why?"

"Because wedding is one of the most important event in every woman's life. Maybe it's like a dream come true so they must choose a gown that they think is the best."

"Will you still be there on my wedding day?"

"Of course. Kuya will always be here for you."

Nang mapagod siya kakaikot sa boutique umupo kami sa sofa doon sa may waiting area. Habang abala sila ay nags-scan lang kami ni Elaine ng mga magazine na nakapatong sa may lamesa.

"Wow..."

Elaine suddenly said.

Sinundan ko kung saan siya nakatingin at nakita kong sukat-sukat pala ni Dette ang isang color peach shiny fitted gown. Bumagay sa kaniya iyon dahil maputi siya.
