May 3rd 1998 was a normal day in the eyes of the muggle world. Nothing particularly out of the ordinary occurred. Sure, the skies weren’t as foggy as they had been for the better half of 2 years and people seemed emotionally lighter but other than that there was nothing particularly unique about that day.
In the wizarding world however, May 3rd 1998 marked the end of a time of death and fear. The first day of many when thousands of witches and wizards mourned the lives of those lost to Voldemort and his death eaters. The first day of a time of peace.
In particular, May 3rd was a strange day for a young man by the name of Harry Potter.
Harry had had a busy few years and it appeared everything was settling down. That he was finally going to get a good night’s rest. But in typical Harry Potter fashion, that was far from the case.
