I walk through the doors of my new school. I look around trying to figure out a place to sit and realize just how much I miss my old school and my old friends. Back there was always a place for me to sit with my friends. Here there is no empty seats, and no really
inviting faces. "Guess I'll sit by myself then." I thought to myself.
I picked a spot near the hallway I knew my locker would be in. I plopped my stuff down on the tile floor and sat down cris cross applesauce just like in elementary. I didn't have to sit for long though because the bell rang. I grabbed my binder and started down to hallway. Locker 135. That's mine. I could see it just a little bit away. I took a few more steps when this guy plowed right into me sending my binder down the hallway. I fell down but got right back up and into his big face.
. "What the hell was that for?!"
"Oh. Your Melissa, the new girl. So I'll let you of with
a warning. I'm Eli, and you don't mess with me."
"And what'll happen if I do?"
. "I'll make you life a living hell. Now get out of my way!"
. I stepped out of his way and went to go pick up my binder. I was sort of surprised when it was already picked up and in the arms of a girl who looked like my age. As I asked toward her she held it out to me and I took it.
. "Thanks..." I said.
. "It's no problem! I'm just surprised you got away from Eli alive.."
. "What do you mean?"
. "Wow you really are the new girl huh? Wel Eli always gets whatever he wants. And if he doesn't, or someone gets in his way....... Wel, just consider yourself lucky."
. "Well thanks for the advice, but my class if right here.... Bye"
. "Bye."
. I started to go in my class but then I realized that I didn't even know her name. I turned around to ask her name, but I couldn't see her. I walked into the room and found an empty seat. That was weird. And what happens to people who stand up to Eli? Well it doesn't matter, all I have to do is avoid him. Wait no, why would I just surrender? I didn't know if I was going to fight back or stay out of his way but I did know one thing, I'm not gonna bow down to him like everyone else here.
