In Too Deep (Corpse X Sykkuno FanFic)

Entry 2

The screen flickers on to show Sykkuno holding up a peace sign with his hand while he wore more comfortable clothes than he did in the previous entry. As he was familiar there was a new figure sitting next to him with similar yet different, comfortable clothes that fit his looks before Sykkuno began to speak in the gentle tone he had that seemed to be so kind and loving.

"Hey. I'm back from our meeting, and I decided to bring one of our crewmates over to help make this vlog type thing to record our days and have fun. Oh, and we also changed to make it more comfortable since we're not required to wear our suits twenty-four seven." He laughed nervously as the figure next to him spoke.

The figure's voice was very deep and husk as he gave a small chuckle in reply. "Am I allowed to talk now?" He asked the other as he wore a mask over his face muffling his voice just a bit, along with an eyepatch over one of his eyes.

"Yeah, go ahead since you haven't even made an update video yet for MIRA HQ to reveiw." Sykkuno's eyes shifted to look at the figure. His eyes glimmering a bit as he gestured to them, his smile continuing to imprint on his lips.

"You're right about that. I should do that soon tonight. Maybe before we go to bed. Anyway, hi, my name is Corpse. I'm an engineer on the spaceship to help with lighting and reactor. I'm Sykkuno's friend, crewmate, and now roommate. If anyone wants to know if anything happens to Sykkuno on this mission, I won't be happy." He laughed at his own bold statement as Sykkuno blushed a little and laughed with him.

"What do you mean?" he laughed cutely as he covered his mouth. "Are you gonna kill someone or something if something bad happens to me?"

"You know." Corpse's laugh turned into a giggle as the laughter died down. "You're only mine. Obviously, that's what it means." He teased the other in a playful tone.

Sykkuno's face was a brighter red as he looked back at the camera. "Yeah, yeah. Toast is gonna fight for that title, ya know." He chuckled as he leaned forward to fix the camera but as soon as he did, Corpse noticed what he was trying to do and leaned forward as well to help him.

"Like this, or it won't stay up." Corpse spoke as his hand seemed to be on top of Sykkuno's by the camera angle.

Sykkuno stared at the hand for a second before quickly pulling it away, holding it with his other hand as he put them in his lap, looking down at them with wide eyes. Corpse seemed a bit confused as he tilted his head, looking at the smaller male. He seemed to not know what to say before speaking up.

"Is... Is something wrong, Sykkuno?" He then asked in concern. "Did you hurt your hand or something?" Corpse reached his hand out to Sykkuno but didn't touch him as he was gentle and didn't want to seem insensitive. 

"Oh, uh. No, I'm fine. I was just overthinking about something." The small male replied to the other with a nervous smile and giggle. "Don't worry. I promise it's nothing." He looked up at the larger male as he wanted to show the other that he was okay and had nothing to worry about.

"You sure?" Corpse double-checked with the other as he leaned towards the other just a bit.

"I'm sure. Thank you, Corpse." Sykkuno smiled once more as Corpse seemed to smile under his mask and sigh with relief.

Sykkuno looked back at the camera and put his index finger to his lips to think about what to say. Corpse looked back and forth between the camera and Sykkuno before mimicking Sykkuno by thinking as well. It was cute to see this really tall male mimic someone who was his complete opposite. Sykkuno noticed this action and giggled before talking.

"I know you're my roommate Corpse, but you should stop being so cute. Like, it's hard to concentrate when you're copying me." Sykkuno looked at Corpse again with a laugh.

Corpse looked back at Sykkuno and seemed confused. "If anything, you're the cute one here, Sykkuno. I mean, I've been called cute before, but you definitely take the cake for being most cute."

Sykkuno seemed to laugh more at that before covering Corpse's mouth. "Oh, be quiet you. We're both cute, I guess, but I still think it's you."

"I'll accept that." Corpse seemed to smile brightly as his voice was muffled by Sykkuno's hand over his mask.

Corpse grabbed and put down Sykkuno's hand before looking at the camera. "We instantly connected when we met and I'm glad that we did, though Sykkuno and I were both shy."

"Oh, and the meeting was about the roommates. We never had anything like rooms assigned so we drew numbers from a hat and Corpse and I just so happened to draw the same number." Sykkuno clarified as he didn't notice Corpse holding his hand. "It was Corpse and I, Jack and Felix, Ethan and Grease, Lily and Poki, and Rae and Toast. Right?" The male looked at Corpse. 

"Sounds right." He replied to the other as he also thought a bit.

"But yeah. There are only five rooms on the ship so we have to share with the others." Sykkuno said out loud. "And I'm actually glad that I got a room with Corpse. It, in a way, makes me feel protected." The male smiled as he was serious with no trace of a lie in his words.

"Awe, thanks Sykkuno." Corpse said as he began to play with the other male's hand with a gentle touch. "I feel safe too. We have each other's back Sykkuno."

"I feel we're gonna be great friends Corpse." Sykkuno looked at Corpse with a genuine smile as he still didn't notice his hand being played with. 

Corpse looked at Sykkuno and nodded. "I agree and I hope we can bond even more over the course of this mission and even get to know more about one another." 

After a small bit of silence Sykkuno finally noticed Corpse playing with his hand like a small child with his mother and his cheeks turned a bright red. He didn't pull away, but he just stared at the two hands holding one another. Corpse paid no mind to the male noticing his hand being played with as he didn't stop his gentle touches on the other's smaller hand. Corpse intertwined their fingers before looking back at Sykkuno, smiling ear to ear as if there was no problem.

"Friendship." He told the other in a soft and kind voice, though it was still fairly deep. He said it in a cute way that no one would say no and deny him. He even swung their hands lightly cutely and the gesture made Sykkuno basically speechless.

"Friendship?" He asked as he tilted his head to the male next to him as if he was repeating the statement, but rephrasing it as a question.

It took a second before processed the simple question Sykkuno and replied, once he did he nodded before speaking, his small voice in a stutter. "F-Friendship."

Corpse seemed to smile again before the video cut to static seeming to be corrupted, both the video and audio, but luckily it was the end of the video with only a few seconds left on the video.
