This is super super short, but I wanted to get something out, so I'm really sorry >-<

I stay in that position for a long time. Just sitting there, head between my knees. How the hell does she keep finding us? It makes no since.
"Blair?" I call out, my voice ragged and nasel from crying.
I feel his hand petting my head, ruffling my now short hair a bit. But that's it. He doesn't speak, just pets me. I realize everything that he owns is on the ship we abandoned.
"Blair, are more people coming after us? We stole."
"If your asking about authorities, they were on the look out for us since the beginning, but they're not actively looking, as that is not their job."
"What?" I say questioningly. "Yes it is, its authorities job to look for and catch law breakers."
"On earth, it might have been. It is simply their job to keep watch at space stops. It is the person whom they have crossed that is the one to look, and capture," he explains, and I furrow my brows. "But that doesn't make any sense! Anyone can just do anything they want with no fear!"
"You're fearful, are you not?"
"Well, yeah, but that's just because of the stupid goredant, if someone stole something from me, I'd probably just do nothing, and they'd get away. Its not fair to people who can't do anything, and those are the people who are constantly wronged!"
He glances at me. "If someone were to steal from you, I'd get it back. You have nothing to worry about, or to fear. I will protect you."
I want to argue that I don't matter. I am nothing worth protecting. That the reason I'm getting upset is because other people are suffering, and no one is doing anything. But I couldn't. Not when he said that as if it was fact. As if there's nothing in the world he wouldn't protect me from.
How could he say that? How could he think that? Why does he think that? It makes no sense, he barely knows me. He doesn't know me.
I stand up, needing to do something other than just sitting here.
"I'm going to explore."
"No," was Blair's immediate response.
"Yes. I need to walk around."
"You do not, and you will not. I need you to stay in my sights."
"But that's so dumb! I'm going!" I yell at him, and storm of. I hear him calling for me but I don't care.
