(bruh this chapter is cringy as hell wtf was I thinking)
Todoroki's POV:
I woke up staring at my left hand and I already wanted to go back to sleep. I forcefully opened my eyes to look at the time. It's earlier than usual. I thought about sleeping for the entire day but when I did that last time my father got angry and beat the shit out of me.
After an hour I got out of bed even if my mind didn't want to. This happens every day. There was no reason for me to get up in the morning. At least one good thing about today is that father was already at work. I let out a deep sigh of relief. I spent a long time in the mirror looking at myself and how messed up my face was...
I...miss mom...I put on my long sleeve shirt to cover all of my burns and bruises. I didn't want anyone to come up and talk to me. Much less having people worry about me when nothing can be done. No one can help me.
School was boring as always. A lot of people went up and talked to me but I just replied with an "Okay", "Fine" and "No thanks" with a straight face. They all just wanted to make friends the strongest person in class. The guy who is cool and calm. The guy that's famous because of his father and the sports festival. I knew no one really cared or wanted to know the real me.
The second to last class had just finished when Bakugo walked up to me. He's mean to everyone but he's even meaner to me. I guess he was still salty about me winning the sports festival.
Bakugo's POV:
Fuck that shitty Icyhot. He thinks he's the best and to cool for everyone. The finale at the sport festival was actually really close but he probably thought it was a piece of cake. His merciless attacks with that stupid overpowered quirk of his were to much and he didn't even use his fire side. But I know that I will surpass that bastard. He didn't say a single word or even looked at me after he won. Like he was better than me. THAT BASTARD PROBABLY THINKS I'M AN EXTRA.
"Hey asshole." I walked to his desk after class to tease him. "..." "Don't fucking ignore me!" I screamed at him. "What do you want?" He said while he looked down on his desk. "Just so you know I will beat you TO A PULP at the next festival. It was luck okay? DON'T THINK YOU'RE SO COOL JUST BECAUSE OF THAT STUPID QUIRK OF YOURS" I yell while I slap away his stupid notes.
"..."
"STOP IGNORING ME BASTARD!". I didn't actually have anything valuable to say, I just wanted a reaction out of him and start a fight. I'm not stupid I knew I had anger issues. But that stupid Icyhot just had an emotionless face on. I wasn't planning on leaving him alone but Weird hair (Kirishima) interrupted me with some stupid hangout invitation and dragged me out of the classroom.
Todoroki's POV:
For some reason Bakugo yelling at me hurt but I couldn't figure out why.
After school had ended I made my way home. Dreading if father was either going to: Yell at me, "train" me, ignore me or beat me. It's always a gamble and depends on how he was feeling that day. He didn't actually beat me as often as he used to, but being ignored hurts almost as much since I would be left alone with my thoughts. I had siblings but they lived in a different part of our estate. When I was little I barely got to see them. Now It's a little less strict but my father still hated the idea of me seeing them. They're only acquaintances to me anyway. I guess Fuyumi is nice but it felt awkward talking to them with my lack of social awareness.
I stoped in my tracks when I saw Bakugo infront of me. Maybe I should say something. "Hey" I said without knowing why. I knew there was no point talking to him.
"WHAT ICYHOT?" He yelled while also stopping.
"I think you're great. I don't think less of you because of the sports festival. You're very strong" I said. I wasn't lying. Bakugo had always been a good fighter and was almost on my level. I didn't think I did anything that would suggest that I looked down on him. He didn't immediately clap back but after a few seconds he said in an uncharacteristically calm voice:
"Go and jump of the fucking rooftop for all I care."
