Chapter 7 The Break Out

The figure now mimicking a guard walked into the reception area of the prison for a prison the reception area was nicely decorated the floor was made of oak wood planks the walls were mostly glass and every 3rd pane of glass there was a marble pillar going from the floor to the roof the reception are was very open there was no window separating guests from the receptionists was very comfortable. The figure looked around the area and spotted the elevator it went over and it pressed its thumb against the plate the plate hummed for a couple of seconds then a green light lit up from the panel and the doors opened, the doors on this elevator were not flat like the normal doors they were curved showing how much money they spent on this building, the figure said inside the elevator "Holding Bay" an electronic voice said confirmed and closed the doors once the doors closed the elevator started moving but then stopped the doors opened again and a guy in black pants long sleeve light blue pin strip with the sleeves rolled up, with a holstered hand gun strapped to the right of his pants the man said "security" the electronic voice repeated confirmed the doors closed and the elevator ascended side by side they stood in the elevator the silence in the elevator could be cut with a knife, as the floor number continued to go up the tension in the elevator went up until the figure spoke "you hear about that guy that shot" yeah Mr timely, i have to do the ballistics on the bullet that was in his skull" "Oh well thats not unpleasant at all" "Its not the best thing no" the elevator stopped and said "Security" and opened its doors, the man walked out as the doors closed the figure breathed a sigh of relief. The elevator kept ascending until it got to the holding floor said "Holding bay" and the doors opened The figure came up to the door that lead into the holding bay the security protocols was different the panel consisted of an LED monitor, Card swipe bar, Finger print recognition plate and an Iris scanner which was a half hollowed out semi circle. It pressed its thumb against the plate and an electronic voice said "Please swipe ID before scanning fingerprints" it unclipped its ID from its belt and swiped it in the swipe bar, a few seconds later the LED monitor booted up showing his profile picture & basic information, it pressed its thumb against the plate it buzzed once and the retinal scanner booted up, it slowly leaned forward to scan its retinas, the machine scanned then buzzed again and the door opened, as the guard moved by the cells with none in there and every so often there would be a cell with an inmate in it then he came to its target he stood at the guard post next to his cell and waited 5 minutes after five minutes had passed then the entire suburb went into a blackout all the lights and cameras went down but the hallways were lit by a red emergency light the figure unlocked the cell door and woke him up "Hey wake up" he stirred and looked at the guard "What, Whats happening" the figure yelled "No time to explain now get up" he ripped the grate off the ceiling and crawled into the vent "Come on" it put out its hand to pull him up, he without hesitation got up and took its hand the figure pulled him into the shafts they quickly moved through the shafts until they were out onto the roof the figure kicked the grate open and crawled out with him following behind the figure undressing out of the guard uniform back into the black skin suit him behind him just yelling "What the hell is happening" the figure still wearing the nano mask said "Hey calm down" now ruffling in its back pack pulled out cargo pants a hoodie and runners with socks and threw them at him, "Put these on" then began to remove the mask, he in silence put the clothes on and said "now what?" the figure dropped the nano mask on the floor and looked at him "Now I get changed" it was the girl from before she ruffled through the bag and pulled out jeans a white loose fitting T-shirt a hoodie and runners and started to put them on "Wait wait hold on... Who the hell are you" "My names Jessica" he interrupted "I thought your names was.." "I was undercover mapping the facility im not going to give my real name" "Okay oaky so whats happens now, I'm now a wanted fugitive on the run for something I didn't do and I've been broken out of jail by a complete stranger" she was finished changing and put the handgun in the bag lets go she walked over to the fire escape and started climbing down he quickly followed, as the got to the ground they started walking away from the prison them casually walking away seconds later the power came back and sirens were wailing and the prison was in lockdown What did you do in there" "My job". They were strolling down the streets of New York casually walking "Jessica?" she stopped "I understand you have a lot of questions okay but we have to get out of the city okay" she kept on walking he stopped and thought for a second but then ran after her "Where are we going?" she slowed down so she could walk next to him "A safe house" 5 minutes later they were still walking, he was slowly walking behind tired and out of breath she was still walking until she stopped in front of an apartment block he eventually caught up and looked at the building she walked up and opened the door for him "Come on" his vision blurred and legs feeling on fire he slowly made his way up the steps and into the building she followed closing the door behind her, him inside called the elevator
