There was a large sky scraper next to the Timely Tech Building used by multiple companies it was 2 stories taller than the Timely Tech building, it had a balcony in the upper section of the building were a hired gun was prepping to take a 40 yard shot to kill Simon Timely. The hired gun was the infamous guntly twins Tim & Walter who together over the years have killed over 25 people they were the most ruthless contract killers and everyone hires them because they never fail ever, they planned to use the meeting as a cover up for their involvement in the killing by dropping 2 empty pistol shells and handgun to make the impression that James killed him not them, As Tim was setting up for the shot Walter was in the ventilation system with the shells and the gun ready to drop down. Sirens inside the building were going as gunshots were fired James bent down and picked up the gun it was about 20seconds after the shots were fired when James heard rapid footsteps coming towards the office a couple of moments later 5 security officers rushed through the door with Semi Automatic Pistols yelling "Freeze drop your weapon and put your hands behind your head and get flat on the ground NOW!", now realizing what he was holding he threw it on the ground and got onto the ground with his hands behind his head, After the guards had searched him they put a black bag over his head and made him walk into the elevator, James being blind couldn't tell were he was going then the elevator dinged and the door closed.
