Hope you've all had a lovely little Halloween! Okay, so obviously, this Halloween has no doubt been severely affected by the current pandemic. However, after months of writer's block - that first chapter was mostly an experimental dive into BATIM + LN crossover territory, and I do apologize for the long wait - I figured now would at least be appropriate to continue the story, and hopefully, make this iconic holiday a bit more positively remembered, even if for just the few people reading this story after the day has already passed.
This chapter was actually posted on FanFiction.Net, but as I said last chapter, there are some (currently) ongoing issues with it actually showing up for people to read (it says it's uploaded, but for some reason it's not showing up on the page). After a friend recommended this site to me, though, and considering I'd thought about cross-posting this story anyway, I thought I may as well give it a go here at Wattpad. That said, and without further ado, enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not own Little Nightmares or Bendy & The Ink Machine. They are owned by Tarsier Studios and Joey Drew Studios Inc., respectively.

I thought I was having a little nightmare!"

Six grunted as she landed on her side, feeling the cold metal impact her frail frame. She couldn't afford to stop, though, and she picked herself up to dash down away from the threat she'd nearly just been caught by.
"Bwaarghreeurgh! Bwaarghreeurgh!"
Gritting her teeth, she glanced behind herself once she put enough distance between herself and her pursuer: a plump, ugly Chef, brandishing his giant cleaver and gurgling angrily. Luckily, there wasn't much he could do while Six was safely within the confines of one of the many vent tunnels scattered around his Kitchen, his short, stubby arms unable to fit where the little vermin could.
Still, it was a close one. It had been a relatively easy day so far; Six had found that the Janitor, the long-armed warden and caregiver, was strangely absent from the Prison, though she knew he likely had other duties in other parts of the giant superstructure. It wasn't the first time he hadn't been around to enforce order within the children, who were generally subservient enough to not cause trouble in his absence.
Not like Six.
In any case, it made her trek through the Prison and Lair much easier than normal. Usually, the Janitor's relentless patrols and various traps he left around the areas kept Six from venturing any further than his Lair, forcing her to scavenge on bits and scraps from the Prison's cafeteria, but on the rare days when he was less active than usual – such as today – Six managed to reach a pulley system of hooks that carried her straight to the Chefs' bountiful Kitchen.
And it showed. Trudging quietly through the vent systems, she held tightly to the treasure she managed to gather before the Chef noticed her and chased her out; two cans of fish, a large carrot somehow nearly as big as she, and a carton of eggs. Compared to the near-to-completely stale bread and rancid meat that was all she could normally get from the Prison's guarded supplies, this load was a godsend and might be enough to get her through several days without having to risk venturing out.
