chapter 4

you immediately got back into reality when cedric looked back at you with direct eye contact. you looked down at your feet and turned red. when you looked up, cedric was still looking at you, smirking. after the feast you go over to nara snd harry. "oh hey claire!" harry says "hi guys! the triwizard tournament sounds really cool!" i replied as i felt someone wrap their arms around my neck from behind. i spun around, startled to see cedric with a huge grin planted on his face. "hi" he said sweetly "hey ced" i said while a smile rugged on my face

                      -time skip to the next day-

i woke up the next day and the sun was shining. i got up and changed into my robes. i brushed my platinum blonde hair into a low bun, slipped on my doc martens and walked down to the common room. of course Draco and Pansy were snogging on the couch. i walked past them and out of the slytherin common room. i walked through the dungeons (where the slytherin and hufflepuff common rooms are) and you felt an arm around your shoulders, you look up and it's cedric. "oh hey cedric" you say "hello whitewater, which class are you headed to?" he asks. "oh uh potions" you reply. "well that's good because so am i! wanna sit beside me?" he asks. "yeah of course!" you guys chitchat on your way to potions. once you sat down professor snape tells you that you will be making amortentia. the class oohs and ahs ss we all got nervous and excited to smell it. he also told us that we will be brewing our potion with our table partner. "alright you go get a cauldron and i'll go get the ingredients" i told cedric. he nodded and went to get the cauldron. i grabbed the ingredients and we started brewing it. then snape said we will all go around smelling it. "how am i supposed to smell anything? all i can smell is y/ns perfume!" cedric exclaimed. "hey cedric all i can smell is your cologne!" i yelled back at him. the whole class started giggling snd whispering. then we realized. "oh shit. i smell cedric because he's the person i'm most attracted to!" i said in my head. we blushed like mad.

                      -time skip to after school-

we were at supper when cedric swooped behind me and placed a piece of parchment in my pocket and walked over to his table. i grabbed the parchment and read it.
hey y/n, meet me at the astronomy tower at 1:00. come alone.

i looked over at him and he was looking at me. i nodded and he smiled at me. after dinner i went over to the gryffindor common room to talk to maddie and nara and ginny. "lemon pies" you said to the fat lady in the portrait. she opened the door and you went to talk to your friends. you showed them the note and asked them if i should go. they said that cedric is the last person who would kidnap me so i went. i snuck out of the school at 1:45 because the astronomy tower was way across the field. as i walked i felt a cold breeze. i should've put on a sweater. i walked up the stairs to the tower and when i got up there i saw a silhouette of a tall boy looking out at the stars. "cedric?" i practically whispered. he spun around and gestured for me to come over to him. i walked over and didn't say anything. finally cedric broke the tension. "so you smelled me in your amortentia?" he said. "um yeah i think i did.." i replied. cedric beamed. i've never seen him this happy before. he pulled me into one of his bear hugs.  then we heard a voice from behind us. it was professor dumbledor👁👄👁 "i knew you liked her" he said while walking away. cedric blushed.
