Liz sat in the corner of the hall watching the others eat with their friends, laughing and chatting. Then a girl came up to her.

"Hey, I'm Rose."

"I'm Liz"

"Is that your spirit animal? He's cool."

"Thank you."

"I have a peacock, his name is Emperor."

"This is Furious"

"Nice name. Emperor is taller than my little sister. Did you know that the tallest tree is taller than the Big Hill?" Liz didn't know what the Big Hill was. "And you'll never guess what I got for my birthday last year, or was it two years ago? Meh. I got a trip to the Hundred Isles! I'm from Nilo, where are you from?"

"Eura."

"Ooh, cool. Literally, it must be freezing there, not as cold as Arctica though. My grandad went there and he said his nose turned purple, but i don't know how he could tell because you can't see your nose. Did you know you can't lick your elbow?"

"Yes."

"Wow, you're smart. My friends back home didn't know. One of them tried, it was hilarious! Have you ever been to Eura? Wait, you're from there, sorry, I just keep forgetting not everyone's from Nilo around here. You know, my mentor told me that he didn't know when my birthday is."

"Rose, there you are. Who's that?" asked a man. He was tall and looked quite intimidating.

"This is Liz, she's cool. Literally, she's from Eura."

"Yes, I see, now come on Rose. The others are waiting."

"Ok. Bye Liz, see you around. You'll never guess what, my mum was once bitten by a snake. She told me it felt like having a metal pole shoved through her leg!"

"Yes."

"Well, she was friendly" said Liz to Furious, but Furious just stood there, clearly blown away by her constant talking.
