From flamed torches and flickering candles inside protective lanterns to hand held torches and directional beams, that which was dark needed artificial light to enable sight when the moon shone and the sun went down. From dancing flames to directional beams, the type of light being used indicated how time, the world and everyone in it had moved on.Searching for a building without an address.Walking for what felt like hours, with torches in hand and all items needed to keep them hydrated and warm in the assortment of bags each carried, the delving spot lights uncovered much before illuminating what they were looking for.'Dark?'The youngsters use to city living, street lights and keeping up with what was on trend, had wanted to wait until morning, with no money for the luxoury of a hotel room and the vehicles each arrived in being was full to bursting, them finding what they were there to find wasn't optional.'Where would they sleep?'Parking his transit van and what had been the late Mr.Scotts family saloon car in what looked to be a safe place by a sign directing them to Hunters picnic huts, the father of two told his family everything would be fine.'Was what they were doing wrong?'The time had said 16:00 when first they set out, how had midnight come and gone so fast? From wonderment to fear, Lilly loved the maze of different pathways leading from picnic area to adventure filled attraction, but hated when the canopy formed by so many trees restricted her sight.'Too far from everything else?'Ebony Wood? The place name was the only address to give little away whilst describing exactly what it was.'A dark forest of trees.'

"Sorry Sir."The males locking what during the day was open to all; told those requesting directions, they didn't know how to find the accommodation said to be situated within what was growing more dark and dense with every step."We have never seen a house within the woods."Neither was lying, but both were hiding what each knew to be true.'The witches hovel?'When Lloyd said he was looking for what belonged to the Sapphire estate, those denying all knowledge of what he was talking about were quick to realise they knew much more than he did.'A new bossman?'When daylight turned to dusk before dissolving into the deep darkness of night, the Scott family found themselves jumping at their own shadows and imagining what wasn't there. 'Where were they?'The back of beyond, in the middle of everywhere, they could be anywhere? The truth being that they were lost.Lost and wearing what wasn't appropriate, heels sinking into the soft earth, tired feet tripping over protruding roots and everything becoming caught on any and everything because what each word was much too thin to keep warm.Arms scratched by sharp branches.

"No."Her Martha told her daughter she shouldn't remove her shoes when none was able to see where and on what they were stepping.

"Don't think they do fashion in the countryside sis."Walking together for hours meant bickering was bound to start sooner or later."This is like the beginning of one of those haunted house films."Once all daylight faded; the younger members of the Scott family saw nothing good in what looked wrong and caused them to shiver. The wrong shoes and an inadequate coat, her having no gloves to cover her manicured finger nails was just another of the many things Lilly saw to complain about.'Uncomfortable?'The young female told her family she didn't like what her father told her was them getting back to nature and her brother agreed before reminding all how his sister didn't do natural.'Only be fourteen.Miss Lilly RoseMay Scott was rarely seen without as much make-up as she could get away with.'Long false eyelashes and big hair, Miss Scott was a girl who made the most of being girlie.'Beehives, mini skirts & heeled knee high boots, she'd wear stilettos if she thought she would get away with it.'Louis told his sister she may need to rethink her fashion preference and ditch what was in her bursting wardrobe?

"Cold."The dropping temperature was the one and only complaint made by the mother struggling to remain positive. An owl, numerous bats of various sizes and what felt like a thousand sets of eyes.Lloyd said it would do him and his family good not to relay on all the things they took for granted.Startled by something reaching out and touching her on her shoulder, Lilly told her father she saw street lighting to be a necessity, not a luxoury.
