Jack is wheeled into the E.R. on a stretcher.
"Gunshot wound to the chest! Blood pressure is low, pulse is dropping rapidly!" one of the nurses said. "Start an I.V. line!" another doctor said. "We're losing him!" another nurse said. The rest of the C.S.I.'s looked on with worried looks on their face.
30 minutes earlier...
The C.S.I.'s are called in when an anonymous tip brings them to the corner of Melrose Avenue. "What do we got?" Jack asks. "Someone you might know." George said. Jack lifts up the cloth on the dead body. "Oh my god. It's Jordan Crawford." Jack says. "You know him?" Lisa replied. "I put him away years ago. He's a known drug dealer." Jack replied. "I've got witnesses that say he was walking down this street. They all heard gunshots, and a split second later, he falls down dead." Amanda stated. "We've got G.S.W.'s to the head and chest. Whoever this shooter is, he's good." Melissa said. Suddenly, more shots ring out. Jack falls to the ground. "Jack!" Melissa yells. Damnit! Where did that come from!?" Lisa yells. "Oh my god, Jack!" Amanda says as she sees Jack has been shot. Melissa rips open his shirt and sees that although Jack was wearing body armor, he is bleeding from the chest. "Oh my god, oh my god, there's so much blood." Melissa says, panicking. "Melissa?" Jack says. "Don't try to talk, just please, stay with me Jack." She replies. George calls 9-1-1. "9-1-1, what is your emergency?" says the dispatcher. "We have an officer down at the corner of Melrose Avenue. He's critically wounded and we have a 10-15: shots fired in the area. Get an ambulance and backup units on scene here immediately!!"
Flash forward back to the hospital, and all the C.S.I.'s and Regina are standing in the waiting room, worried about Jack's condition. A nurse walks in and speaks to Melissa:
"How is my husband?" Melissa asks. "He's had some complications." the nurse answers. "What kind of complications?" Melissa asked. "Your husband was hemorrhaging when he was brought in; Despite wearing body armor, the bullet went through and ruptured his spleen. We need to do emergency surgery, but we require your consent to do it." the nurse explains. "Do what you have to, just please save his life." Melissa said crying. "We will do everything we can Mrs. Morgan." the nurse replied. Amanda, Lisa, Ann & Melissa began to cry. Adam looked at George and asked: "Who did this?" "I don't know, but we're gonna find him and we're gonna bust him!!" George replied with a stern look on his face.
Jack has been shot!!! Will he make it? The C.S.I.'s have a deadly mystery on their hands. First they not only have to find out who killed the drug dealer, but they also have to find out who shot Jack as well.
