Ren's POV

As we finish our last D rank for the day we start to head back to the village. I few days have past and the chunnin exams have drawn closer. I don't say I don't believe in our team, no it's not that at all. I'm just new to competing with people who are not from our village. Would I be able to beat them? I mean on the cloud mission we went on I wasn't very useful. Damn! I even lost consciousness. I wasn't able to sense him because I wasn't paying attention to what's around me. How would I be able to surpass... him, If I can't even use my byakugan to sense someone from that distance.

I didn't realize how much I was clenching my fists but the two females did see.

"Um, Ren? Are you ok?" The Inuzuka girl asked concern adorning her face. I glared her way to which she flinched from my gaze. 'She was more useful then me ! I need to train harder so I can be more of help to my team. I can't drag them down.'

"Hey Ren what's up with the glare, man. Are you really ok?" The Senju girl asked. I looked away from their gazes and shook my head.

"No I'm fine. I'm gonna go home now." I waved them off and walked away to train.

Airin's POV

"I wonder what's up with him." I watched as Ren's silhouette disappears.

"I don't know he has been acting weird since we came back from the cloud." Minoko said a flash of worry spreading on to her face.

"Don't worry Mino he'll be alright." I smiled at my nickname for her. The said girl shot her head towards my direction and look at me in surprise.

"Is that my nickname?" I nodded at her question and grinned sheepishly.

"I mean we are friends aren't we?" I asked a bit shyly. I've never really had friends not long since I've been kept here. Minoko grinned brightly.

"Of course were friends Ai !" I blushed at my nickname and smiled warmly at Minoko. "Well since we're finished with our missions I gotta go and train. See ya Ai!" She waved off, running back to the inuzuka compound. I waved back and went a different way.

I took a deep breath in collecting the oxygen around me. 'I should train as well. I can't always rely on my infinite chakra source a lot. I need to keep them as a reserve in case I run out with the additional amount I want to keep. I still haven't used my wood style but I'm sure that it would be ok to use it in the exams.' I look up at the sky and lightly shake my head. 'If I wasn't forbidden to use it. I'm aware about the dangers if people knew there was another Senju but I'm capable of protecting myself. If my wood style is needed I won't hesitate to use it!' I keep walking, looking at the blue sky and the people walking.

While walking I encounter team seven and other genin ninja's that are not from here. 'By the looks of their headbands there from the hidden sand it would seem like konohamaru as gotten himself in a pinch. Naruto seems to be trying to tell the purple face painted boy should let him go. I wonder what happened? Eh~ it doesn't matter let me listen in.' I mask my chakra and stand by a fence that has the right amount of shade to keep me from their sight so I can listen to their conversation. The said purple faced boy held konohamaru by his scarf.

"That hurt, little punk!" He said with his eyes closed still holding konohamaru up. 'I feel like I should step in but...' I smile creepily as I keep my eyes upon the scene 'let's see where this leads' with that thought I continued watching.
