I don't have anything against acoustic covers. When executed correctly, they can be epic - meaning that they're totally better than or can rival the original.
But when they're not...
Let's just say that there's a whole lotta low moaning, wailing and high-pitched noises.
Seriously, some covers make me want to slap the person singing it.
In the face.
With a bulldozer.
Like I was listening on the radio the other day, and there was some guy singing an acoustic cover of 'Wake Me Up' by Avicii. Pretty old song, I know, but I'm guessing the dude thought it was the perfect opportunity to showcase his vocal talents.
Needless to say, it was awful.
I'm not one to judge someone's voice here, but you didn't have to be Simon Cowell to say that the guy was out of tune. I have no idea how to phrase this, but his voice started to CRACK.
The guitar didn't help, either. It just went all plonky-plonky on the bits that were supposed to WAKE ME UP. (hehe geddit?)
I just couldn't feel it, ya know?
However, I miraculously stuck around till the end of it all and proceeded to enlighten myself with some REAL MUSIC. It was heaven.
And that's my acoustic cover story.
I'm not saying all acoustic covers are bad, even when most of them are. Some of them are really good, actually, when the GUY/GIRL SINGING IT DOESN'T START WAILING ON PARTS THAT AREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE WAILED.
I'm not saying I can sing any better.
I bet I sound like a suffocated walrus.
*wails*

A/N - Hahahahaha I have no idea how someone can get slapped in the face with a bulldozer. Haha.
Well anyway thanks for reading! Don't forget to comment and VOTE if you liked it! I'll probably be posting twice (or once, if I'm busy) during the weekends, so stick around!
And leave a comment below: do YOU like acoustic covers???
