Katherine groaned in pain as she stabbed herself again. "Where are you going?"
Klaus smirked as he turned, facing Katherine in Alaric's body. "I'm gonna go lay my eyes on my precious doppelganger, and hopefully, meet this Charlie I've heard so much about." He pressed a kiss to her forehead, making her flinch back in fear.
"Oh, don't look so glum, Katerina. The fun is just beginning." He turns his back, grabbing a jacket on his way out the door. "Again, please!" He leaves, shutting the door behind him as Katherine stabs herself all over again.

Mystic Falls High wasn't all that Elena and Jeremy had cracked it up to be. It's old, musty, and smells like a nauseating amount of ax body spray. As he was walking by a trophy case, a picture caught his eye. He stopped and backtracked, leaning in to get a better look.
In Loving Memory
Charlie Grayson Gilbert(insert picture of Charlie)
He had a little laugh over this. There was a whole memorial made out to him back in his "glory" days. There were several of his football pictures set up next to trophies that apparently went together. He moved on after some people began staring at him, whispering under their breath.
He opened the doors to the courtyard and easily spotted his sister sitting across from Bonnie. He grinned as he began walking over to them before placing a bag in front of Elena, who was foodless. "I come bearing gifts," he chuckled as he sat down next to Bonnie. "I noticed you didn't make yourself lunch this morning and took it upon myself to make you something. You're welcome."
Elena went to speak but was interrupted by a perky brunette hopping up to their table. "Elena, there you are!" Her voice was a little too chipper, making Charlie's nose scrunch up. Bonnie snickered from beside him and nudged him in the side with her elbow lightly, making him shrug his shoulders in response. "Okay, this is going to sound freaky, but this totally hot guy just asked me to ask you if you're going to the dance tonight."
"Tell him she has a boyfriend," Bonnie laughs.
"And an older brother," Charlie adds, making Bonnie and Elena playfully roll their eyes at him.
Charlie reached out and stole a grape from Elena's lunch as Dana continued talking. "You could at least meet him. He'll be at the dance tonight. Look for him. His name is Klaus."
Charlie choked, coughing as he turned back to the girl. "I'm sorry, do you mind repeating that, love?"
Dana smiled, unconsciously blushing under Charlie's attention. He seemed to have that effect on a lot of people. "His name's Klaus. I know, the name's stupid, but I swear he's hot."
Bonnie looked around in a panic. "Where is he? Is he here?"
Dana frowned slightly. "I don't know."
"She's been compelled." Charlie scoffed.
"But he wants to know if you'll save him the last dance. How cute is that?" Dana giggled before she walked away, leaving the three alone.
"God, that was dramatic." Elena and Bonnie both turned to him with similar expressions of irritation, completely clueless as to why they were glaring at him. "What is with you people and looking at me like that?"

The group sat around the couches, discussing the event that had taken place a few hours before. Elena was still shaken up, but she felt better as she leaned into Stefan's side, his hand rubbing circles into her back.
"So we go to the dance, we find him," Damon suggested, shrugging his shoulders.
Stefan scoffed. Really? How are we going to do that? We don't even know what he looks like."
Damon rolled his eyes at his younger brother. "Something tells me he's not going to be sixteen and pimply."
"He could be anywhere at any time. He compelled somebody at school." Stefan looked to Elena and Bonnie, raising an eyebrow. "I guess it's not as safe as you guys thought, huh?"
Elena opened her mouth to retaliate, but there was a knock on the door before Alaric entered the house. "There you are," Damon said as he stood up, grabbing a drink.
"Sorry I'm late." Alaric, also known as Kaus, offered.
Damon waved him off. "Hey, I need you to put me down as a chaperone at the dance tonight. Klaus made his first move."
"Okay, so we find him, and then what, hm? What's our plan of attack?" Elena asked, focusing on what their plan would be.
The door opened once again; only this time, Charlie entered the house. His normally pristine clothes were slightly wrinkled with spots of paint splattered on them. He had taken the liberty to paint while he had some free time before he got a message from Stefan about their meeting to which he didn't have time to change.
"Bonnie. She's the plan of attack. He has no idea how much power she can channel. If we find him, she can kill him." He explained, a small smirk on his lips as he walked into the room.
Klaus looked at the boy, and he had to repress a smile at the boy's intelligence and determination. "That's not going to be that easy. I mean, he is the biggest, baddest vampire around."
"Alaric has a point. I mean, what if he..." Damon rushed at Bonnie with his vampire speed, but Bonnie just threw him to the other side of the room with her powers, barely batting an eyelash.
"Well, I was impressed," Charlie snickered as he plopped down onto a couch, placing his head in Elena's lap as he high-fived Stefan. Damon scoffed at his expression as he stood up from the floor, brushing himself off as he ignored his brother's expression of amusement.
"It doesn't matter if he's an Original. I can take down anyone who comes at me. I can kill him, Elena. I know I can." Bonnie looked to her friend, determination in her eyes-- completely willing to put her life on the line to save her best friend.
"Well, you don't really know if you can because you haven't actually tried yet." Charlie pointed out, but Elena rolled her eyes and pushed him off her lap, making him roll onto the floor.

Charlie answered his phone as he lounged on the couch, watching TV for the first time in what felt like an eternity. "Hello?" He asked absentmindedly, his eyes glue to the screen.
"Charlie, thank god!" Charlie straightened up in his seat, raising an eyebrow at the sound of his sister's frantic voice. "Klaus was in Alaric's body. It's like he possessed it or something! Are you at home! Please tell me you're alone!"
"Yes, Elena, I'm at home. Why would I not be alone?" He asked, standing up from the couch to get more popcorn. He stopped short when he saw a stranger standing behind the couch. "You know what? I take that back. A creepy guy is standing in our living room. I have to call you back."
"Wait, what? Charlie, don't hang up!"
He hung up the phone anyway and sighed as he raised an eyebrow. "Lacky of the lovely Klaus, I presume?" The man just smirked, and Charlie rolled his eyes at this man's cockiness. "Alright, let's get this over with. Use whatever mind trick you've got. Today's been pretty uneventful for me anyway."

When he came to, his back was flat on the floor, but the room he was in didn't look familiar. His eyebrows furrowed as he turned his head and looked at the curly-haired brunette that hovered next to him. "Katherine?" He asked, his voice hoarse as he tried to sit up.
The aneurysm that pesky witch had given him was stronger than he expected, and it left him a little disoriented. She used her to head to nod behind him, and he was cautious about looking to the side at the man that sat on a stool at the bartop, watching him with a raised eyebrow.
"Hello, Charles."
"Klaus," Charlie sighed, looking to Katherine, both of them wearing the same expression of nervousness. "What a pleasant surprise."
