I had fallen asleep on the way to NYC and woke up when the pilot had announced to me that we were over the city. I rubbed my eyes and looked out the window to reveal a gorgeous city filled with skyscrapers and lights. It was about 2 pm in the afternoon and the streets were filled with cars impatiently trying to get to their destination.

"It's beautiful," I said as I gently planted my fingers on the glass as if I could touch the city.

Buildings towered into the sky, reaching into the clouds as the sun peaked through and shined on the top of them.  The place descended closer towards the airport, guiding to the landing strip and I started to get my things ready to leave.

"I don't know if Morgan told you, but your driver will be waiting for you at the hangar, her name is Rachel and she will take you home and guide from there," He said from the pilot's seat.

"Thank you so much," I said as the plane stretched its landing gear and gently got us on the ground. We began to slow down on the strip, and once it was slow enough, the pilot turned the plane towards its hangar. He guided us to the large garage and that is where I saw a black vehicle waiting for me.

We were finally in the hangar and plane was parked safely. The pilot nodded to me and opened the hatch the door, releasing steps that stretched all the way to the ground.

"Have fun, Ms. L/N, and be safe," He said as I started unloading my luggage and leaving the plane.

"Of course," I said, "thank you for the safe flight." He grinned at me and tipped his hat.

"Here, let me get you a tip," I said and dug in my wallet for some extra cash.

"Morgan's already done it, ma'am," He said and I smiled at him.

I headed towards the driver with all of my belongings. She was tall woman with wavy red hair, wearing a black blazer with a white button up underneath and black dress pants.

"Good afternoon, Miss L/N," She said with a warm smile. Everyone who serviced me today was extraordinarily nice.

"Good afternoon Rachel, how are you today?" I asked as she took some of my bags and loaded them in the trunk of her sleek black car.

"I'm well, how are you?" She asked as she flopped the last bag into the trunk and gently shut it closed.

"I'm good, thank you," I said as I opened the passenger side door and plopped myself in the seat while Rachel started the silent electric car and slowly  accelerated out of the plane hangar. From the gateway, Rachel pulled the car onto a very busy roundabout that was in front of the airport, full of moving cars and surrounded by tall parking garages.

"Your apartment is only about 2 miles from the agency you will be working at, it's a quite nice apartment if I say so myself," Rachel said as she let a person go in front of her.

"Really? I feel like this is more of a vacation than a job," I said with excitement.

"It's a beautiful town, you just have to be careful of where you are going and how you will be getting somewhere."

I nodded in return and watched the pedestrians pass by along with the diverse display of buildings. There were short buildings, tall ones that looked like they could touch the sun, underground buildings, skinny buildings, wide buildings. They were all different in their own shape and texture.

A few buildings in particular was almost entirely made up of windows, reflecting any ray of light that dared to touch it. Rachel began to point out buildings she was familiar with and what businesses were inside of them, but there was one that stuck with me which happened to be the agency I would be working at.
