Chapter 5

Destry's POV

As I saw Annabel walk through the door my heart grew 7 times bigger and I was so happy to see her she walked over to me and gave me a big hug.

Annabel: oh I am so glad your okay

Me: well it's all thanks to griffin

Annabel turned and smiled at griffin

Annabel: yeah he must be a great friend

Me: yeah he is

Griffin then smiled kinda embarrassed, my mom then walked up to me and smiled I could see tears welling up in her eyes from the joy of seeing me she then gave me the biggest hug I have ever gotten and it kinda hurt.

Me: mom I love you and all but your crushing me.

She let go and said sorry I just love you so much she said as she leaned in for another painful hug till I said wow mom wow don't crush me, griffin then came over and gave me a bro hug and said,

Griffin: man I am so glad your okay

Me: hey if it weren't for you I wouldn't be

Griffin blushed a little

Griffin: thanks man, I um am gonna get your mom out of here so you and Annabel can ahh spends some time together, he said in a whisper

They left and it was just me and Annabel

Me: so you miss me

Annabel: yes yes I did so much, she said as she walked closer to me

Me: I don't know what could have happened if I had died

Annabel: if you had I would have been miserable forever and so would everyone else that loves you

Me: you know I get to go back to school on Monday after my hospital stays

Annabel: wait you have to stay in the hospital

Me: yeah it's mandatory to stay a week in advance after a blood transfusion

Annabel: oh

I grabbed her chin and pulled her head towards mine I then whispered to her "nothing made me happier than to see you smile" and right after I leaned in and kissed her she was shocked for just a moment till she started to kiss me back, I kissed her soft Rosie lips with such a passion that made her tingle she then sat on the bed next to me and it was easier for us to kiss that way, but I then heard someone come through the door.

Doctor: "oh umm I didn't know you had company Destry" the doctor said as I pulled away from Annabel's lips.

Annabel quickly stood up and apologized for being here but the doctor said it was perfectly fine and that I needed a little TLC more love than tender, and care though. She then said I am sorry once again and left she waved goodbye as she walked out the door. I laid my head back on the pillow as I gave out a big sigh.

Doctor: well you have a nice young lady there

Me: thanks

Doctor: well anyway the real reason I am here is to tell you that you can go back to school Wednesday instead because of how well the stitches went in but you have to be careful no one can touch that spot on your body and you have to keep a bandage around it I advise you to tell your teacher and keep anyone that would hut you away from you. Oh and only wear button up shirts for a while

The doctor said that in a stern voice then walked out except for the thing about the shirts weird , I sighed then laid my head on my pillow and fell asleep.

Wednesday

Destry's POV

I was let out of the hospital this morning and my mom picked me up from the hospital, when I got home I but on my black skinny jeans and my black skull button up shirt with my black converse, then I did my hair, brushed my teeth and made sure my bandage was secure that morning I was in school it was a little hard to walk but I managed. I got to the office and and told the front office lady what my doctor told me about the side of my stomach and she sent a phone message to all of the teachers and when I came out of the front office everyone stopped as I sorta stumbled out, I then noticed that my bandage was visible and at that time everyone asked what happened but of course I didn't tell them. I was just afraid that all the jocks would gang up on me now that I am back but I don't know although to make me seem really hurt oh wait I was I kinda made my bandage even more visible by unbuttoning my shirt more just I case and plus the bandage was extremely hot so it helped me in two ways.

I was at my locker when I could hear the jocks walking up the hallway towards me so I turned only to see them getting closer to me and then I turned to face them as they stopped in front of my locker.

Jock1: so freak what's up

Me: not today

Jock: come on

He was so close to punching my side before I dogged it

Jock: oh so now someone thinks they are so good because they dogged my punch well think again loser

Me: " wait stop" I yelled

He stopped in his tracks and lowered his fist

Jock: and why should I

I then unbuttoned my shirt so he could see the bandage, for him to see what he did

Jock: what a bandage

Me: not just a bandage what's under it, do you remember the first week into school and you beat me up

Jock: yeah

Me: well you might not have known but you slammed my stomach into the side of an open locker

Jock: so

Me: "so, I ended up having to go to the hospital for a blood transfusion and stitches, the doctor said if I hadn't gone to the doctor when I did I could have died from the blood loss, you almost killed me" I yelled that last part with some anger

I could see in his face that he was sorry and that he now regrets it

Jock: I am so sorry I I won't hurt anyone ever again

He then turned around and walked away. I closed my locker and left
