Chapter 38:🍓

3rd Person's POV

After Soobin dropped him off at Yeonjun's parents' house. He tried to be calm even though he wanted to cry a lot.

One of the maids let him in. They made him sit on the sofa in the living room while they called Taehyung and Jimin upstairs.

He just stared at the floor as he slowly drowned in the depths of his thoughts.

'Is his decision right?'

'Will he not regret it afterwards?'

Those are just some of his thoughts.

It's scary to fall in love. You don't know how far your relationship will go. Whether it will last or not? Who will get tired and give up first?

You will suddenly wake up and be slapped by the reality that not all the romantic movies you watched are true, because others here have a tragic ending.

The silence was interrupted when Taehyung and Jimin arrived with a worried look on their faces. Jimin immediately ran and hugged Beomgyu who was crying as Taehyung sat down next to him and started rubbing his back. They didn't speak first, they waited for Beomgyu to stop crying.

After a few minutes he stopped. His eyes are swollen from crying and you will also notice the tiredness from it. He looked at Yeonjun's parents. He saw the concerns on their faces. Even if he wanted to smile at them and say that he was okay so that they wouldn't have to worry, he couldn't do it because he was feeling heavy.

"Beomie… please, tell me why are you crying? Did Jjunie make you cry?" Jimin asked him.

Beomgyu just heard 'Jjunie' and suddenly remembered Yiren. That's also the nickname she calls Yeonjun.

"I- I want to… to divorce Yeonjun." Taehyung and Jimin were suddenly taken aback.

"Why Beomie? Did Jjunie do something wrong to you?" Beomgyu shook his head in response to Jimin.

"Then what's wrong? Why do you want to divorce Yeonjun?" Taehyung asked him. He pressed his lips carefully while thinking of a good alibi.

"I can't love Yeonjun. He's too perfect for me... and before we got married, I loved someone else." He lied to Yeonjun's parents. He saw the frustration and disappointment on their faces.

Because of his love for Yeonjun, he chose to keep the real reason why he wanted to divorce Yeonjun. Even guilt will swallow him up because of his lying.

For a moment there was silence. The silence was suffocating Beomgyu. He couldn't bear it, so he spoke to break the silence.

"Can you not tell him I'm here?" He stared at them with a pleading look.

Before they could respond, Yeonjun suddenly appeared crying and sweaty. He immediately ran towards Beomgyu and hugged him tightly, like a child who refuses to let his mother go to work.

"Beomgyu… my baby… my wife… please... don't divorce me please! I can't live without you! Forgive me… give me one last chance to fix our relationship please…" Yeonjun almost choked while saying those words because of crying.

His parents are confused because he's the one who apologizes, not Beomgyu. Beomgyu just stared blankly at him, as if he were a lifeless doll.

"Yeonjun… let me go. I'm so tired of all this... please." He looked straight into Yeonjun's eyes.

"Beomgyu, I'm so stupid... I shouldn't have done that. Here we go again, back to the beginning. But now,  I'm the one who should gain your trust..." He tightened his grip on him but it was enough for him to breathe.
