Ben was walking into Belvoir Drive for training as he got off the phone and put it into his bag. When he spotted his Leicester teammates he realised that sooner or later he'd have to break the news to them. And right now seemed like the best time considering the phone call he just had.

He wasn't sure how they'd take the news. He wasn't sure how his manger would react, how James would react but most of all he wasn't sure how Lucy would react.

The defender knew that the couple were in a good place in their relationship right now and he was afraid that his news would ruin that for both of them.

But he would rather be the one to tell her the news and risk breaking her heart than having her find out through some news tabloid, that would undoubtedly report on the news of the transfer window, and risk breaking her heart even further.

With the boys at training today, the pair of female best friends decided to spent the day together relaxing around Lucy's place watching romcom movies and eating junk food like they did when they were younger.

Lucy was in the kitchen listening to music and making food for herself and Tara when the brunette haired girl made an appearance in the room with her head stuck in her phone not even greeting the blonde who's home she had just entered.

"I'm gonna miss you when you go to London." Tara spoke as she took a seat on one of the kitchen stools, head still on her phone clearly focused on whatever was on the small screen.

"Who said anything about going to London?" Lucy asked as she lifted her head from making the tea to look at her friend with a confused look across her face.

"Have you not seen all of the sports news?" Tara questioned as he looked up from her phone and across the kitchen island at Lucy.

"What news? What are you talking about?" Lucy's confusion wasn't shrinking, if anything it was growing more and more as her friend continued to speak.

"The Premier League transfer news." Tara explained as she started to type on her phone in her hand. "About Ben moving to Chelsea."

Tara finally pulled up the articles on her phone before handing the device over to her best friend so she could see it for herself.

Lucy's eyes darted across the screen as she read several articles about Ben's transfer to Chelsea from Leicester in the next coming weeks.

The blonde felt a mix of emotions as she read the news. In one sense she was happy for Ben, she knew that he had gotten all he could out of the East Midlands club in the last 11 years he had been there.

In another sense, she was upset and confused at how the transfer was so close to being complete and yet she heard nothing about it from anyone. Not even Ben. He had done a great job at keeping it a secret.

But unfortunately now all she could do was wait until she saw Ben again and question the secrecy he had been apart of.

Tara left Lucy alone with her thoughts, which in the blonde's opinion isn't exactly where she wanted to be as she waited on her boyfriend to come over after training.
