Naomi's Diary: The Start

First Round

The Turfament, what Takeru calls it, has begun. Six teams have signed up for the tournament, Blue-Yellow-Synchronization, Dude Society, Redacted Names, Lady Purple Team, Handicapped Challengers, and Unbeatable Green Team, which is our team. Honestly, I think our team name is misleading cause I don't think we're that unbeatable, but Monica named it so you know. Anyways, we had to first meet our first opponents, which was a Lady Purple Team. Monica met with Masako, Takeru met with Sara, Mark met with Yuka, and I got stuck with Clara. Our conversation was boring but slightly pleasant.

"So are you ready for this tournament Clara?" I asked her with the most polite tone I could do. She looked up at me with her pale and dead face. "I guess so..." She quietly said to me. I don't remember what we talked about from there, but it was nice I guess.

Eventually, the first round began, and we were up first. The stage was Shellendorf Institute. I could hear Masako and Monica talking to each other as we walked to our spawn points.

"May the best team win!" They both said to each other with much enthusiasm and energy.

Once we got on our spawn points, the turf war has begun. Monica told us the plan to gain control of a certain area on the stage. However, it was clear the other team had a similar plan. I started to wonder if Masako and Monica have a friendly rivalry between each other.

"Everyone, use your specials immediately once you get them!" Monica told us before going to 1v1 Masako. Takeru went to go take on Clara. Mark then decided base invade them to get better control, and I was left alone. Just then, I was attacked and splatted by Sara.

"Lmao xd you just got rekt fam poggers hahahahahah" Sara taunted before cancan dancing away and claiming more turf. Good lord, I know Sara is a memer, but I didn't think she was this bad. Luckily Mark splatted her just as I respawned. 

With 1 and a half minutes left on the clock, the stage looked pretty even. So I decided to go to remote places on the stage and turf there. Yuka then stood in front of me, using her height to try and intimidate me. I was a little scared, but I think I did a good job not showing it.

"Sorry I have to do this. Oh wait, no I'm not." Yuka said as she raised her inkbrush in the air about to splat me. But then Takeru splatted her from behind.

"Cmon Naomi, you have a weapon too^^" Takeru said to me as he helped me cover more turf. Finally, the round has concluded and we won. That was certainly hectic to say the very least.

"Great job! Monica thinks you did good Masako!" Monica said as she shook Masako's hand.

"You did a really good job too!" Masako said as she patted Monica on the back

With Purple team eliminated, we moved onto round 2, but we had to wait for the other rounds to end in order to compete again, so me and Takeru decided to go grab lunch for everyone.
