Ivy's POV
Every year since my sister Lexi got married I've watched her& Kendall's love grow while I've been doing me haven't been worried about looking for love I mean I've had flings here and there but nothing in a few years. Now we are planning thanksgiving dinner or party as my sister calls it.
"Lexi?" I ask
"Yes?" Lexi asks
"Is Kendall coming tonight?" I ask
"Yes and so is his friend Elijah" she says
"Whose Elijah?!" I ask confused
"His friend of 3 years and counting" she says smiling
"Oh" I say shrugging
"Why?! Interested?" She asks
"Nope. I'm good." I say smiling
She laughs and my mom brings the turkey and ham out as we finish setting the table.

Soon dinner has started everyone has arrived. I'm wearing a dark purple silk dress that stops at my knees with matching heels my hair is straightened with make up on.
"Elijah, this is my sister ivy, ivy this is Elijah" Lexi says
"Hi nice to meet you" I say smiling
He smiles "you as well sugar" he kisses my hand I blush and giggle.
"Hey ivy, how are you?" Kendall asks
"I'm good how are you?" I ask
"Good, just tired. Work is killing me." He says
Kendall is a construction worker and drives a lift most of the day so it's normal for him to be tired. Lexi works as a photographer, my mom works as a lawyer and me I work at a café part time then I work as a waitress at this high class restaurant called chez moi pour. I'm off til next week then I'm off December 23rd til January 3rd for both places so I'm gonna be tired my mom&sister go back next week like me.
"After dinner ivy could you&Elijah do the dishes?!" My mom asks
"Sure mom" I say smiling
"Of course Claire" Elijah says smiling
*after dinner*
After we've gathered the dishes we begin doing them.
"Are you sure about those heels?" Elijah asks
"Yes why?" I ask
"Just be careful sugar" he says smiling
Right after he says that I slip and he catches me.
"Haha guess you were right" I say nervously chucking
He chuckles "guess now you'll listen to me huh?!"
"Most definitely haha" I say smiling
He helps me up and I take my heels off then we proceed to finish the dishes.
