Christmas party planning chapter 8

Ivy's POV

So we are gonna be hosting an annual christmas party we do one every year and tommrow night is my date with elijah. We exchanged numbers and do the cute call/text stuff haha, anyways it will be our 10th annual Christmas party we rent a venue, order cartering, wine, we also buy the decorations, lights, banners ect. We also have a theme where everyone must show up in christmas pjs!!! We are planning it for Saturday december 10th (don't even know if 10th of dec is on Saturday but go with it) so we are sitting around in our pjs planning for it.

"Okay. So what do we want this year I'm making a list so we will know and I'll copy it to send to the carters, waiters, waitresses, and so on." I say

"Oohh how about we order gingerbread cookies in the shape of ginerbread men?" Lexi asks

"Oohh perfect! And how about christmas tree ones?" I ask

"Yes!" Lexi beams

"Okay here's what I've got so far" i say

1. Gingerbread men cookies, Christmas tree cookies.

"What about food?" Carly asks

"What foods are christmasy?" I ask

"Is that a word?" Lexi asks

"Go with it haha" i say laughing

"Why not do black forest ham, christmas cake, and the cookies can be desserts too?" Mom asks

"Okay. We can make that work" i say

"Alright, now what decor do we want?" I ask

Lexi smirks "mistletoe!"

"Why? So elijah&i can kiss under it?" I ask

"No! It's christmasy you can't have a christmas party without it" lexi says

"Okay mistletoe, how about reefs? What colors?" I ask

"How about 2 white ones, and the rest regular?" Mom asks

"Oh wow mom! That's amazing!! Christmas white reefs will give it that classy, chic look" i say smiling

"See i may be 45 but i know things" mom says smiling

I chuckle "we know mom your cool"

"Okay, how about 2 strings of multicolored lights, 2 strings of white, and maybe find some plain red ones?" Carly asks

"I like that, i can look on wish and see if they have any they need to be here on time so after this I'll look" i say smiling

"Okay, and ivy i had a thought why don't we make christmas banners and ribbons instead of buying some?" Lexi asks

"Oohh DIY it? Yes!" I beam

"And we can find cheap materials at micheals and hobby lobby" carly says

"Very true." I say smiling

*ding*

*new text message from "cutie❤"*

My phone reads out loud everyone laughs.

"Awwww who could that be?" Carly asks

"Is it elijah??" Lexi asks

"Ohh Elijah I'd love to ride you all night long!" Carly mocks me

"I hate y'all" i say checking the message

Elijah: hey beautiful! How are you? ❤

Ivy: eh sort of stressed out ❤😰

Elijah: why? ❤😔

Ivy: planning our annual Christmas party it's stressful ❤😔

Elijah: need me to help with anything?

Ivy: maybe... we are gonna get materials and DIY some Christmas banners, ribbons and ornaments we just need a tree for the venue could you see about finding one?

Elijah: of course. How tall? How wide? Color?

Ivy: it has to be under 7 feet that's how tall the venue is which i need to call them and rent it and the color?? White?? Or whatever you can find and not too big nor too small

Elijah: okay sounds good I'll get to it when is it?

Ivy: dec 10th at 7pm til 1am I'll give more details after we've gotten more

Elijah: okay

After texting Elijah i rent the venue out.

"Hi gale! It's ivy!"

"Hello ivy! Always a pleaure let me guess renting the venue for your annual Christmas party?" She asks

"You know us so well, we've got everything else worked out we need it for dec 10th from 7pm til 1am is that possible?" I ask

"Umm.... I'd have to check give me a second." She says

"Okay"

"Yes it's yours for the 10th of December I'm putting it in my records as we speak" she says smiling

"Okay thank you! Bye!"
