Neves POV
3 November 2013
I'm sitting at my rusty old dressing table filled with empty bottles and untouched food, from the day before. The paint is chipped, Making it look vintage. That's the way I like it.
I've always had a thing with old fashioned things, they always have a story behind them.
I stare at my myself in the small mirror, just finishing up on my makeup.
I've always hated the way I looked, I've always hated my small button nose. People say it's a good thing to have a small nose, but I can't see it.
I start to move my nose around with my finger squishing it down to make it look better but as soon as i lift my fingertips my nose bounces back up.
"Ugh" i sigh standing up, I cannot be bothered anymore to make myself look better anymore.
It'll never work.
"Neve come on, are you nearly ready?" My mom shouts from down stairs.
"Yeah, I'm coming now" I shout back.
I walk to my long mirror to adjust my outfit, I'm wearing a floral skirt and a vintage rock t-shirt that I cut myself to make a belly top, to top this outfit I'm wearing my favourite pair of doc martens.
looking at my body just makes me upset. I'm very curvy, so I've got thunder thighs and I small waist, I haven't got a flat stomach it's just... normal? I definitely wouldn't say I'm overweight or skinny.
I'm just average.
I quickly grab my purse that hangs behind my door and run down the oak wood stairs and into the kitchen we're my beautiful mom is and my so 'successful' sister Bonnie is. My mom is wearing her normal black jeans with a floral top, her long dyed brown hair is tied in a high ponytail which makes her jaw even more sharp. Bonnie is leaning against the counter wearing ripped jeans and a belly top which is high enough to see her bright pink bra, her dirty blond long hair is untouched.
"Hey" I say picking up my orange juice which my mom made."Hey beautiful" My mom says lovingly, putting her cup of tea down.
"right" I smile-sarcastically but my mom just gives me a disapproving look. She always knows.
"Neve, I've told you this before you are stunning don't let anyone tell you different" my mom says calmly reaching for head and kissing my forehead, leaving a mark of her red lipstick.
"Yeah I know" I agree but my mind still thinks the same. With the back of my hand I rub of the lipstick hoping that it won't smudge, like it normally does.
I love my mom so much, she's helped me through a lot with my relationship with my dad. I've never really had a close relationships with my dad he always had his full focuses on my sister, Bonnie. My dad and my wicked step mom thinks Bonnie is amazing and so successful because she's going into the public forces and is working really hard, but really she just sits in her bedroom eating and watching Netflix.
My mom and my dad split up when I was very young I can't even remember them together. I can only remember them arguing and Bonnie covering my ears every time they say curse word.
Bonnie is three years older than me, she's 21 which makes me 18, so she used look after me a lot when my mom and my dad split because my mom needed to work a lot so we could get money because my dad took it all. Me and Bonnie used to be really close, but now we are like strangers who says "hi" when they pass each other. I think it's because we've grown up a lot and I have found out what my dad is; a lying, cheating little shit. But Bonnie is under his spell now, not me anymore.
