Chapter 1

Hey my names Ashley Teller and I'm British but my family have just moved to Stoney-brook Connecticut. I know absolutely no one and school starts tomorrow. We have moved into a rich neighbourhood and our neighbours I think are called the Watson's and Thompson's but my mum just told me we're eating there for dinner and I need to dress "smart". You see my style is normally comfy casual with some type of merch like marvel or stranger things but according to her that's not "smart". So I've put on a checkered tube skirt and a white top with a baby blue cropped boyfriend hoodie and white airforce 1s. My go to "smart" outfit although my dad always tells me to roll down my skirt but I don't mind I don't want to be thought of as someone who practically wears nothing like some girls I know.smh.

"Ash are you ready to go?" My mum shouted from downstairs

"Yep just coming" I shout while walking down the stairs

"You look great darling"

"Thanks mum you look nice too" I replied

"Ok are we ready. Yep. Let's go" my dad said opening the door

The door opened to a kind looking blond laud "you must be the Teller's please come in. I'm Elizabeth"

"I'm Michelle and this is John, and Ashley our daughter"

"Oh yes your 15 right?"

"I'm yes" I say smiling at her kindness

"Perfect I have a 15 year old sone who is going to be in your class and a 13 year old daughter I'm sure you guys will be great friends"

Before I could answer a tall boy with dark brown hair and brown eyes walked in the room, he looked amazing.

"Ah speak of the devil Ashley this is my son Sam, Sam this is Ashley she is our new next door neighbour and is going to be in your class at school"

"Hi Ashley do you want to come in the lounge with us we're watching Harry Potter"

"Yeah I love Harry Potter (sorry if you don't like it) " I say smiling

"Don't get her started on Harry Potter or marvel she will talk for hours without drawing breath" my dad laughed

"You a big fan?" Sam asked as we walked into the lounge

"Huge" I reply sitting down on one side of the sofa with him on the other

"I've never really watched marvel movies" he said looking at me

"What!? Okay if we're going to be friends you are going to watch at least the avengers movies with me" I say dead serious

"I can't wait" he said with a goofy smile making me laugh

"Uuurh are you seriously watching Harry Potter again Sam?" A girl asked from behind us, she had long brown/blond hair with a dissatisfied look on her face

"Yes I am for a matter of fact, and Kristy this is is Ashley Teller our new next door neighbour"he said glaring at Kristy

"How old are you"she asked me

"I'm 15"

"Have you ever babysat?"

"I'm yes I used to babysit for the kids in my town back in England"I told her

"Perfect" she said running off and upstairs leaving me confused

"Oh she runs like a babysitting club by the way she's not completely insane only partly" Sam said noticing my confusion and making me laugh "so how do you like Stoney-brook?"

"Well I haven't really seen it yet we only got here yesterday and I have no friends"

"Well you now have your first friend" she said nudging me with his elbow and moving a bit closer "I'll show you around after school tomorrow if your up to it"

"Thank you so much I'd love to" I said smiling at home then tuning my focus back to the tv although I could feel him looking at me
