I don't know why, but I get attached to things super easily. I get attached to specific things like movies, and characters, and actors. I've been attached to this specific Character from a show called Bodyguard. His name's David Budd. And the whole time I listen to this song, I thing about this:

It's her last day in that city. She moves from orphanage to orphanage, after a period of time, if no one takes her. (I don't think this is how orphanages actually work, but this is fictional, so don't attack me) this was her last day in Scotland, and after making a connection with a damaged, washed out, beat up bodyguard named David Budd, she was destroyed to move away from the only father figure she ever had in her life. She was in the car on her way to the airport, and she just looked out the window. It was rainy and grey out, which fit her mood perfectly. He was in the backseat with tears running down her face. She had such a good connection with David, she honestly saw him as her dad. She was so happy and soulful when she was around him. Even though David was rough in the outside, you always knew he had a soft spot for the kid.

She was left in the back seat with no hope left. No one to call her own. Until the driver of the car got a call.

She didn't think much of it, because she was so deep in her own thoughts as to what was to happen next. The driver sounded surprised, and excited. Again, she didn't think much of the phone call, until the driver took a U turn and went in the exact opposite way of the airport.

"What are you doing??" She asked, surprised with the sudden turn

"You've been adopted, kiddo!" She says there in awe for a moment, when it all clicked together.
She couldn't speak. She just sat in silence with her mind blown to bits. After she thought she would never see David again, maybe this was the chance. She suddenly has a cheek-to-cheek wide smile plastered across her face. Everything seemed right with the world. She was honoured to be going back.

After about and hour, they got back to the orphanage, where she stayed for a few months. She jumped out of the car, thanked the driver, and ran in the building. The adoption 'room' was up a few flights of stairs, but it felt like nothing pm when she ran up them. She couldn't believe it. She didn't even know how fast she was going, until she tripped a few times. She finally made it to the room, and busted the door open. There sat the head of the orphanage, and alas, David Budd.

She didn't say anything, her face said it all. She was in tears, with the biggest smile in the world. She almost fell to the floor, but managed to pick herself up. David turned around, stood up, and smiled. "Hey, kiddo." She stood there for a moment.

"Hey, dad."

She started to sob and ran her way into his arms. David was surprised and a little bit stunned, as the kid wasn't much of a hugger, but within seconds, he hugged her back. Their hug felt complete, as if they were family all along. Soon enough, David also started to cry. "Welcome home, kid. You're home."

She had to grip onto his shirt to keep herself standing, since she almost couldn't handle how happy she was.

After a while David signed the paperwork, and they headed off to his apartment. By this time, it was evening, and they missed dinner, so they went out to a restaurant to eat/celebrate. In that moment, everything was right with the world, and she never felt happier. They talked for what seemed like hours, and eventually realized it was almost 9:00 pm. "Oh, shit! We best get home!" David said with a bit of a laugh. 'Home.' The kid thought. It sounded right. It had a nice ring to it.

They went back to the farm and drove back home. After about 20 minutes, they were at the bottom of his apartment. She looked up, and saw his room lights from the bottom. She smiled. She was finally

Home.
