No lies

Chapter 3

They told us that she was going to spend new years with us and share a room with Josh. As they walked into the back of the house we could hear her crying and Josh shouting. We had no idea what was going on, so again we asked the adults and Topanga and Amy explained to us that Paige's dad wasn't very well but the hospital said that he was getting better so they let him go home. We had no idea what was going on but all we could hear was crying and shouting. No one moved or said a sound so we could try and hear what was going on but we couldn't. Suddenly, we heard the bathroom door slam and a sad cry with a scream. Then Josh came out to talk to us, he wiped a tear from his cheek with his sleeve. He told us that Paige's dad had a major heart attack and the doctors were certain that he was going to die very soon. We all sat in silence for at least 15 minuets until we heard Paige get out of the shower. She got dressed and came into us. Josh stood up and she threw her car keys to him. He caught them with both hands and they both walked to the door, Amy and Topanga got up quickly and walked to the door. Topanga opened the front door and gave Paige a quick hug and she walked out, whilst Josh gave his mother a hug and walked out together to get in the car.

Cory knew about Paige's dad. He had a heart condition which would give him a heart attack at anytime. Cory explained to us that Paige's dad considered Josh as a son. Paige's dad wanted Josh to marry his daughter when they were older.
It was getting late and they still weren't home. Riley and Farkel went to our room and went to sleep. Topanga and Amy also went to sleep. Me, Lucas, Cory and Alan all stayed up to wait for Paige and Josh to arrive home.
2:45 am and we hear the car pull up on the drive. We all knew that Josh was driving as he can never stop the car properly. Josh came and unlocked the door the went back to the car to carry Paige in his arms. He walked in with Paige asleep in his arms. They had both been crying for hours. His eye's were red and puffy and blood shot and so were hers. Josh looked at us then looked down and nodded. He walked away. We all knew then. We all got it. Paige's dad was dead.
