"One line...Thank God."

Six weeks after Shia left Pita took four pregnancy tests and all came back negative. Her plan to get pregnant failed. Not that she still wanted that. He had left Canada and blocked her on all social media. He must've blocked her on his wife's profiles as well because she couldn't even find her anymore. Pita's heart was broken. She thought she found the most genuine, caring man in the world and was ready to trade it all for him. Anything he would've asked of her she would've done it. But it was time to level with herself. He played her. She couldn't even be mad about it because she thought she was the puppet master. The only victim here was his wife who knew nothing of her cheating husband or Pita's almost baby. As she cried herself to sleep for yet another night, she thought about how far she went for someone she clearly knew so little about. He was a master manipulator and she was a novice who thought she could win. She sat and thought about all of her actions and the thought processes that she went through and couldn't believe how crazy it all was. Shia presented himself as the ideal. He was so perfect in every way; until he revealed his true self: a serial cheater and liar who preyed on her loneliness and desperation and then left her high and dry.
"I guess this is my karma for trying to take someone's husband." She thought. She deleted his number off of her phone and tried to wipe any evidence of his existence from her actuality. He broke her and she let him do it. "There was no such thing as a soulmate. All men are the same and they aren't worthy of the effort we put in" she said to herself as she relived the past couple months over and over in her head.

Pita sat looking at the rain and catching the drops in her hand. Three months has passed now and she still wasn't over it.

She knew that if she wanted she could go to his mother, tell her everything, get his contact there and expose him to his wife; but what good would that do? Sure she would get revenge and he would pay for what he did. But it wasn't going to change anything else. She was sure at this point that she didn't even know him, let alone want him.
In the end she decided it wasn't worth anymore of her time and attention. She already gave him too much of that. She was rid of him and ready to move on. He wasn't worth it. She had enough.

Bzzz bzzz...
