Chapter 2.5: Destruction

8 hours before destruction happened

The overpowered hedgehog ran an endless marathon. So quick, that he cannot be seen, almost as fast as light. As he zips through the tall grass, he plans to make destruction on cities to get Sonic's attention, for a big fight. His idea was to make at least 10 small cities to be destroyed, then if Sonic was most vulnerable, he would attack Mobius. He thinks this would make him mad beyond limit and maybe even surpass his power limit. But for now he just needs to get the one of the smaller cities inhabited with only 2000 people. Not even caring about the animals inhabited inside the city, all he wanted was destruction. While zipping passed the desert, he gets flashbacks of a civilisation he was in before when he was little. He was about 10 years, and was known as Mephiles the monster. He was bullied by other animals, avoided by other families and siblings, his mother was depressed and his dad wasn't there to take care of him. W=He was bullied for so long, he let out a slight rage of anger. This rage made an explosion in the room, killing the animals that were picking on him. He exits the room with other bullies running away. He runs passed them and blocks their exit.

"Do you feel a sense of regret?" Mephiles asked angrily.

The kids were silent, they were too scared to speak.

"I said, Do you feel a sense of regret!?" Mephiles stepped forward.

"Y-Yes, we're sorry, we just thought you weren't going to do anything," One of the young animals responded

"I'll only let you live under one condition, if you don't tell anyone I killed those in the class, if you do, I will hunt you down," Mephiles responded running as fast as sound to get unnoticed.

He ran back to his home and knocked on the door. There was no response so he knocked again. At this stage his heart was beating fast, he was worried and kicked the door open. His angry expression turned into a surprised one. Tears formed and fell to the floor. His mum was sitting at the floor, back against the couch and was dripping blood from her stomach. He hurried over to still see her alive.

"Mum, mum please speak to me!" Mephiles shook his mother left and right with tears forming.

"Mephiles, don't worry about me, please leave me, there is something in this house," His mum responded.

"Mum, what do you mean,"

"I never told you why I'm like this and I regret telling you,"

"What is it?"

"Your dad, is alive and is the one who injured me,"

Mephiles' eyes widened, he did have a dad, and he just killed his mum, the only one he loved the most. Mephiles fell into a big rage and exploded with anger. There was an explosion with the radius of 20 metres. He never felt so angry in his life. First his life was bad from the bullies and it got worse from this. He then got up from his mum and ran away.

The flashback ended and there was tears on Mephiles' face. But he kept his composure and forwarded towards a city.

At the city

Mephiles arrived at one of the cities and smiled

"Lets get this party started shall we," Mephiles raised his hands and with a quick movement created a wave current of air.

Almost like a sideways tornado rolling down the city it destroyed everything it the waves path. Animals were screaming and running away. Huge buildings were knocked down, creating explosions and a slight earthquake. Mephiles then walked away proud of the destruction. It only took one whip of his arm to destroy a city.

"Is that something you can keep up with Sonic?" Mephiles said walking away, "I'll make some more if you aren't interested in this"
