The Hedgehog War

Chapter 1: The beginning

The cave was dark, silent and cold. On a snowy place filled with mountains, a hedgehog wakes from his 100 year nap sensing a competition waiting for him. Finally, he can fight a worthy opponent. Every day before his nap, everyone he fought was weak, unskilled and unworthy. Now he senses the almighty power rising around the world.

"Well, looks like I'm gonna have fun with this guy, I should wait till he comes to me, for now I shall make some destruction, ahhh Sonic, I'll be waiting for you." He thought to himself.

He exited the cave looking outside in the sky. Then speeds up clearing all the snow around 100 square metres of snow around the area he ran, making it seem like a big track that never snowed.

10 years later

Sonic ties his red shoes on getting ready to head to the HQ of freedom fighters. Sonic was the leader, and popular around the city. The city was big, had a statue of him in the middle of the city and everyone knows him. Sonic speeds through the city greeting those who greet him. The HQ was massive, was tall. Sonic entered and headed up to where most of the major, and most helpful fighters usually hang out. Some major names, a bit below Sonic's popularity: Tails, Knuckles, Rouge, Amy, Cream, Sally and Blaze. Some informers were set by Tails who was the head of machinery and technology around the HQ. Names were: Sapphire, Eclipse and Fuze. The HQ of freedom fighters had a total of 10 ranks. Rank 1 is the lowest, whilst rank 10 is highest. The leader didn't count as a rank, Sonic felt it was best to be that way. Tails, Knuckles, Shadow and Rouge were part of the rank 9 whilst Amy, Cream, Sally and Blaze were rank 8. To Sonic, rank 10 was a rank that would be close to his power or people who can defeat enemies that only Sonic could beat, which no one has even come close to not even his older brother, Shadow, who joined the HQ for no reason to attack couldn't surpass Sonic's power and he knew he wouldn't in his life.

"Hello everyone," greeted Sonic

"Hi Sonic," responds everyone

"What's happening in this city at the moment?" Asked Sonic for some info.

"Well, there was an attack on part of the city close to the ocean, but Quora, and Kip took care of that, someone tried attacking the HQ, but failed thanks to Tails' protective and invisible shield around the building, and that's pretty much what happened," Sapphire responded.

"Great, so everyone do whatever until reports come, and remember to save this town with everything you got,"

Sonic ran up to his office waiting just to talk to Amy through his computer. Sonic's room was medium size. It had a bed since Sonic works hard every day until he gets tired. So Tails and Knuckles makes him a bed to sleep in if he is tired, and might as well sleep there over the night. Sonic thought he had the perfect plan to bring Amy over just for her to sleep with him. He had a major crush on her ever since they were best friends. And because of that, he gave Amy her own room so they could talk privately without anyone knowing. But to make it fair, he created everyone except for the lower ranks than rank 8 a room. Unfortunately, Amy went out shopping with Cream and Rouge so talking to her won't be thing until she returns to the HQ. About 5 minutes later when he got to his office, he gets a report explaining that doctor Eggman is invading the city, trying his best to knock down the building. He also gets reports explaining that knuckles is having trouble beating him. With this information he sends Shadow to help him, but instead gets turned down by him so he had no choice but to deal with Eggman himself. He exits the building seeing the villain outside trying his best to break the shield.

"Hmm, Egghead if you try harder, maybe it will work." Explained Sonic

"Is that so? Well then, I will tr- Sonic the hedgehog you have appeared before me!" responded Eggman

"Yes I have, since I have nothing to do, I'm here to bring you down," Explained Sonic

Sonic jumped up landing on Eggman's flying machine and attempts to crack the glass open. Eggman tries to punch him away with his robot army and the fists created on the machine. Luckily Sonic broke through before the robot army could even get close. He then presses every button on the machine and jumps away while waving goodbye to Eggman.

"Bye Egghead," Sonic waved

"Curse you Sonic the hedgehog, I'll get you next time!" shouts Eggman, retreating.

Sonic lands on the floor and in a matter of seconds gets surrounded by people congratulating him for his victory. Amy, Cream and Rouge start running to him worrying if something happened to the building, but Amy was worried about Sonic.

"Sonic, are you ok?" Amy said while grabbing Sonic

"I'm fine Amy, nothing bad happened." Responded Sonic

"Wait, did that Eggo try to knock down the building," Asked Rouge.

"Yeah he tried," Laughed Sonic.

Knuckles fell down and landed right beside Sonic and gave him a hand shake for the help. Sonic, along with the others, went back to where they were usually. Sonic went back to the building along with Knuckles. Amy, Cream and Rouge go back to having fun shopping. Sonic heads up to Tails' room to see what he's up to. Tails' room is huge, almost as big as a workshop. His room was mainly a base controlling the shield and machinery around the building. There Tails was working on a prototype on an aeroplane. Sonic always looked up to Tails as the smartest and best friend in the world.

"Hey Tails you in here?" Sonic opens the door.

"Oh hey Sonic, heard you were fighting Eggman," Tails responds

"Yeah, he tried breaking your shield so I made him have karma"

"I knew he would try breaking the shield, it's so strong that even I don't know what can break the shield." Tails focusing on the prototype, "Also like the prototype of the new aeroplane?"

"How big is going to be? That's the question," asked Sonic

"About 10 metres from wing to wing and 6 metres from front to back."

"That's big," responds Sonic

"Yeah, can you please excuse me? I'm trying to focus on making this work," Tails asks waving

"Yeah sure," Sonic waves back and exits his place and walks back to his office.

On his way to the office he meets up with Sally

"Hey Sonic, congrats on defeating Eggman," Sally says looking outside.

"Thanks Sally, also why are you here? I thought you were going to help out with Ruby's mission," Asked Sonic.

"Oh yeah, we finished that already, I came back just to witness the view from here. It's beautiful from here,"

"I have to agree with you there Sally now that I think about it," Sonic looked outside, "Welp, I'm gonna go to my office now, bye Sally"

Sonic ran up the stairs and waved at Sally and she waved back. Once he gets to the room he lies down on the bed thinking about Amy. Whether to proclaim his love for her. Or show his love to her until she loves him back. But little does Sonic know that Amy loves him already. At the same time, Amy had a major crush on him at the same time Sonic had one with her. The day was getting late and Sonic decides to sleep in the room instead of heading home. He gets tucked in bed and turns lights out. Tails turns the lights out of every part of the HQ and leaves the building with everyone following and going home.

"Where is Sonic," Amy asks.

"He's going to sleep in his room so he can do that," Tails responds.

Amy questioned to herself if she could confess her love to Sonic as soon as possible, but she was too nervous. So she decides to wait it out to build her encouragement and for now should just hope for the best at home.
