~Chapter 2~Unbreakable Bond

For the next two weeks, Pony and Zizzy hung out every day. She would wait for him by the school gates and when she saw him, she'd run towards him and hug him. She'd then take his wrist and walk to class with him. Pony was unsure if she knew of his true feelings.

Zizzy was extremely energetic and vivacious, often getting herself in detention. Penny said that she spent detention with Zizzy one time and she acted like she was in a second home. 

It was Saturday. Pony got woken up by his phone. "Who could be texting at 7am..?" he wondered. When he saw it was Zizzy, he felt wide awake.

Zizzy: Hey! R u awake? 

Pony: I am now. 

Zizzy: OMG! Finally. U sleep l8. 

Pony: Ik. 

Zizzy: Anyways, do u wanna go w/t us 2 the café? 

Pony: Sure. I'll b there in 20 min. 

Zizzy: Alright. 

Pony jumped out of bed and got dressed as fast as he could. He slid down the banister and gave his mom a kiss before going out the door. 

Zizzy, Penny, Bunny, Doggy and Torcher were sitting at a table in The Wild Bean Café. Pony didn't like Torcher very much; he found him rather intimidating. 

"Pony!" Zizzy leapt up off her chair and hugged him.

"Hey Zizzy..." he said. She smiled and sat down again. She took her sword off the seat next to her. "I saved it!" 

"Thanks," Pony sat down. "Eh..hi Torcher," he said awkwardly. Torcher, who was drinking a caramel latte from a straw, looked up and made a waving gesture. 

Zizzy pushed a peppermint frappe towards Pony. "I ordered for you!" 

"It's my favorite! How did you know?" Pony asked, taking the cup from her and holding it in his two hands. Zizzy giggled. 

"You're my best friend! I can read you like a book!" she made finger guns at him, winking. Pony gave her a fist bump. 

Penny was resting her chin on her hands, smirking at Pony and Zizzy. Bunny was eating a carrot cake, occasionally feeding some to Doggy.

Desperate to make Penny stop smirking at him, Pony said "So, are you and Soldier together, Torcher?" Surprised that Pony spoke to him so suddenly, Torcher choked on his drink. Doggy rolled his eyes and thumped Torcher on the back. 

"Sorry.." Pony said. Torcher put one finger up and took off his gas mask. 

"Um, don't know how you knew, but yeah. Solider and I are together," Torcher said, looking at Pony like he had just come into class late. Torcher smiled at Pony, and put his mask back on. 

"Pony!" Zizzy said. Pony turned around to see her holding out two bracelets made out of plastic beads. She took his arm and put one of them on his wrist and the other on her own. 

"Best friends forever," Pony said, taking Zizzy's hand and locking his fingers with hers. 

"Our bond will be unbreakable," Zizzy said, punching the air. 

"You can let go of her hand now," Penny said. 

"Oh sorry," Pony said, letting go of Zizzy's hand. He saw her touch her palm with one finger with a look on her face like she had been clubbed over the head. 

"Nice face, Pony," said Torcher, putting one elbow on the table. Pony suddenly realized he was blushing. He pulled his hood up.

"Shut up, Torcher!" he said. Torcher shrugged and went back to his drink. 

"We're just friends," Zizzy said, talking more to Penny and Torcher than Pony. 

Yeah...just friends...if only Zizzy knew...
