"If Love be blind, it best agrees with Night" William Shakespeare
Maeve
I watch him almost intently noting the way that he held himself still refusing to eye contact I granted him with a small smile.
I stoped breathing as he came up to me I could scarily see the pain that leaked with in those Sea-Green eyes that held my stare. I was not daring to blink which I found quiet amusing. "Looks like we should get to know each other" he said, but I could not shake the pain that those words brought to me. That hollow feeling that seemed to suffocate me growing evermore deeper inside of my chest.
I breath in the smell of the earth taking in the view of the scenery. I was amazed by the beauty, and life that we were upon. I stop still chewing on my bottom lip now feverishly hot even though I knew that it must be in the negatives their was not one animal in sight as it to knew how freezing it was. "We need to have another place to meet" I mumbled underneath my breathe watching as my breath clouded in front of my face.
We had moved deeper into the forest farther away from the warm fire that was freshly lit in my room. He pauses and I could not help but to take an involuntary step backwards afraid that he was going to lash out on me again. Even with my healing powers it took a few days for the swelling in my lip to go down, but it still hurts when I bite my lip a stupid habit of mine. "So" I found myself saying "what did you want to talk to me about?" he pauses as if suddenly forgetting the whole purpose of this trip to the middle of nowhere.
He glared at me as if sensing my irritation, and my lake of patients; I bore no trace of amusement, or curiosity. My face remaining neutral no emotions I hissed inside my mind before getting dresses forcing my eyes in to a sense of boredom. "Do you feel as if your powers are more then you are?"
I blink confused my his words. "What do you mean?" I asked, but my mind was already searching for answers. He gives me a side long glance. "I think you already know" he meets my stare. "No I don't " I take a step toward him, and he lets out a low laugh that does not reach his eyes. "Maeve" he rolls my name off of his tongue almost like it was met to be put into a harmony. "Your not just a goddess, but you are Faye as well" his next words never reached my ears. I bark out laughter "You got to be kidding me" I say rolling my eyes at him. Crossing my arms over my chest I took a step closer to him. " and how would you know that?" I breathed.
He pauses contemplated on how to word what he needed to say, but he was utterly speechless as he looked at me as I continued to laugh have I gone mad.
I never knew what fate would have in store I never knew if I was going to turn into a depthless killer a hunter is what Hades called me, but if this is true then I am a monster.
" Did Hades know?" I asked blindly racking my mind for some sense of sanity but their was none.
He nodded "Yes he did" his eyes held mine and I could smell his honesty even If I did not expect it. "The Gods did have away of tormenting someone" I say now unsure of who I am; of what I will become with this knowledge.
