There comes that time when you start seeing yourself use more and more Korean words than your actual language. Believe me, I know, it started around 7 years ago for me. It wasn't a serious case, but I had the Korean romanizations for my family members( ex: sister= yeo dongsaeng). It was a cringey phase i'm glad I got through it. We might all go through it, or you won't. But you live and you learn.
So heres 3 ways to NOT be a Koreaboo.
One: DO NOT USE KOREAN WORDS IN YOUR EVERY DAY LANGUAGE!
THIS IS A MUST KNOW! YOU CAN NOT ANSWER THE PHONE SAYING "여보세요 (yeoboseyo) Oppa/Unnie" Unless you are Korean, or are talking with a Korean friend/ family member, then that is 100% okay.
TWO: DO NOT BELIEVE YOU ARE KOREAN IF YOU AREN'T
Yes people do this, they'll watch ONE K-drama and BAM their Korean. This is honestly so stupid, It's like me watching a English series, and then I'm automatically British. No honey, it does NOT work like that
THREE: DO NOT BEFRIEND SOMEONE BECAUSE THEY ARE KOREAN
I am serious, this shit gives people trust issues, its like when your friend is only friends with you because she thinks you are rich.
