Chapter 2: Fuck life

"Rise and shine sleeping beauty", Hugo says as he opens the blinds in my room. I put a pillow over my head and curse at him. "The fuck is wrong with you Hugo?! Can't you see that I'm fucking sleeping?!" I growl on my bed.

I was having a beautiful dream of me and my mate. We were laughing and kissing each other and I was about to mark her so she can be mine when all of a sudden stupid Hugo came and ruined that moment.

"Get up jackass!" Hugo says as he pulls my blanket off of me and slaps my ass. I sprint up and return a slap on his face. "Hey what was that for?!" Hugo says as he caresses his face trying to make me feel guilty.

"Come here you," I say as I pull Hugo in for a hug. Hugo is my best friend since we were in the second grade. When I turned sixteen years old, I found my wolf, Scar. We bonded right away. It didn't take long for my father to tell me that I'll be the future Alpha of my pack, "Silver crest".

I have everything I ever wanted. I got the Alpha position. I am now the head chief of my police station, where my pack works there with me. All that's missing is my mate, Melody.

I can hear my wolf whimper as we remember our mate. I'm only two years older then she is. When she was seventeen, she just found her wolf and started to bond with her.

It didn't take long before my wolf and I smelted her coconut and grapefruit scent. Fuck she makes me go crazy. And now that I'm here in Ireland, far away from my mate, all I do is think about her.

I should have left things the way they were. But I couldn't face the disappointment in her life eyes. My father mind linked me telling to get me and my pack to Ireland right away. He didn't tell me the reason to why, all he said was it was important and he will explain everything as soon as we were there.

"Son don't tell Melody that your leaving. You don't want to cause a scene and worry her." My father says through the mind link

"Father I can't leave her without saying anything. I don't want her to think that I abandoned her. I haven't gotten the chance to mark her yet" I say hoping he understands.

"Trust me son. You don't want to get her involved with this" Then my father closes the mind link between us.

After I mind link my pack; I right away turned it off and I looked at my beautiful Luna sleeping soundly on my chest. It breaks my heart that I have pick up and leave her without a goodbye.

I look at my beautiful mate sleeping and I softly say to her, "I will be back before you know it. I promise you that I won't be too long." Then I place a gentle kiss on her lips and began to get up and slowly make my way out of our bedroom and into the living room.

I nod my head to my pack and we leave to my privet jet that is ready to be flown. I thought to myself, this will only take a few days and I'll be back with my Luna before I know it.

But now it's been five since then and I haven't seen or spoken to her.

Hugo sees me looking upset and gives me a reassuring smile. "Don't worry Landon, you will soon see her again."

I place my hand on his shoulder and give him a squeeze, letting hun know that I appreciate him for standing behind my back and always being there for me.

"Come on Hugo, let's go and see the council. I Fucking want this all to be over so I can get back to my Luna."
