Hamilton sat on the couch, Anna took the chair adjacent from it, and Jefferson sat at the counter. They all stared at each other for a minute or two, their hearts racing. All of this news slapped them in the face.

"So, uhm.." Jefferson said. "Anna, why don't we start with your thing? It seems like that conversation won't be as long as the others."

"Okay!" Anna laughed. "So, earlier today, Alex told me to 'do him a favor' and touch as many people as I can in my school so I can find my soulmate. We didn't know he was gonna be in my school, but I guess I just got really lucky!" Anna grinned.

"So, who's your soulmate?" Hamilton asked eagerly.

"It's this guy named Philip," Anna said. "He has straight A's, he has an incredibly sweet personality, he has a ton of friends, and his hair is so fluffy!"

Hamilton and Jefferson chuckled.

"How about we meet this Philip at school tomorrow?" Jefferson said. Anna squealed and nodded.

"Hey!" Mrs. Hutchins yelled from next door. The three high schoolers had a look of confusion on their face since they hadn't yelled at all. "I'm happy for you, Annie, dear!" Anna laughed.

"Thanks, Mrs. Hutchins!" she called out. "Now, let's shift to your conversations. Let's start with Alex's."

Hamilton took a deep breath. "Okay, so as I said, I was wondering why your parent's are splitting up. It can't be a non-soulmate relationship like my parent's, or else Anna wouldn't have been with Samuel because we know how those relationships end."

"What?" Anna said. "How do they end--"

"We'll save that for another time," Jefferson interrupted.

"Anyways, I was wondering if there's a flaw in the system. Did your parents lose love? Were they not really soulmates and the flaw made them see color when they touched?"

"If there is a flaw, we cannot talk about it in public," Jefferson whispered, shutting the blinds and locking the doors. "Only when the door is locked and the blinds are shut and when Mrs. Hutchins isn't home."

"But, Thomas, we're having a conversation right now," Hamilton whispered. "Should we do code?" Jefferson and Anna nodded. "How about the system is a computer and the flaw is a virus? And your parents are the websites/apps?" Jefferson walked up to Hamilton and kissed him.

"You are so fucking clever," he chuckled, making Anna squeal again. Hamilton's breath hitched and a deep red washed over his face.

"So, a-anyways," Hamilton stuttered, still in a daze from the kiss as Jefferson sat back down, "if there is a virus on the computer, we need to protect the websites. They can get taken away for testing, especially if they are infected with it."

"How are we supposed to--"

A knock on the door. Hamilton gulped and slowly walked over. He placed his hand on the doorknob, wondering if it was people coming to take them, to question them about a flaw. He looked back at Jefferson and Anna. They also looked unsure of what the outcomes of opening this door were. He nodded, saying he was gonna open the door. Jefferson motioned to Anna and whispered to her to hide, and she ran to Hamilton and Jefferson's bedroom. Jefferson walked behind Hamilton and opened the door with him.

And...

"Hey, dearies!" Mrs. Hutchins said. They sighed with relief as Mrs. Hutchins invited herself in. "Annie, where are you?" Anna walked out of the bedroom with confidence for she recognized Mrs. Hutchins' voice. "Wow, you look nothing like how I imagined you, but you are still beautiful."

"Thanks, Mrs. Hutchins," Anna smiled.

"So, Mrs. Hutchins, what brings you here?" Hamilton said, running his hands down the sides of his body and setting his hands on his hips afterwards.

"Well, I heard you guys talking about a virus on your computer while I was sitting on my couch against the wall that is next to your apartment," Mrs. Hutchins said. "I have a nephew that helped me get one off of mine about a year ago, how about I bring him here and have him take a look at yours?"

"Oh, Mrs. Hutchins, that's perfectly fine," Hamilton said. "We already.. uh... hired someone to do it for us. But thank you!"

"Oh, okay," Mrs. Hutchins said. "Well, I better get going, I'll see you all later!" Everyone said bye to Mrs. Hutchins and they shut the door behind her.

"Okay, back to the conversations," Hamilton said as everyone re-claimed their seats. "Thomas, it's your turn."

"Okay," Jefferson said. "When I heard Aaron and Theodosia saying they were getting married, I started wondering if our relationship as soulmates is going too slow. I mean, they're the only one we can really compare ours to. And, now, with this virus in the computer, maybe our computers aren't even synced."

Hamilton gasped. He swallowed hard. "Thomas, I know our computers synced. Or else, we wouldn't feel this way and be trying to make this relationship between our c-computers perfect. I promise, we're synced."

Jefferson looked down. "But the fla-- virus makes me doubt it."

"Thomas!" Anna yelled. "Your! Computers! Are! Synced! Quit being a stupid dipshit and listen to Alex!" Jefferson scoffed and broke into hysterical laughter.

"I can't believe you just called me a stupid dipshit!" Jefferson laughed. Anna and Hamilton started laughing with him. "But, seriously, are we going too slow or are they going too fast?"

Hamilton shook his head. "Does it matter?" he asked. "All soulmates' relationships are gonna be different. If their's goes fast and they get married on the spot and we slowly fall in love, then so be it. But, no matter what happens, I like you a lot. And since we're soulmates, I don't think that'll ever change."

Anna did her best to stay quiet when Jefferson and Hamilton stood up to kiss each other again. She let out the smallest squeak and ran to the kitchen to shove food into her mouth. Once she did, she turned back to the two men, who had migrated to the couch and were still making out.

"So, uh, I'm gonna leave you two alone," Anna chuckled, her speech muffled from the food. "Do whatever you want while I'm gone, I'm gonna go see Philip. Bye!"

Anna left, and Jefferson felt the smirk that Hamilton made.
