Chapter one

Tendou looked down at his feet as he walked up the stairs that lead to the door of his new home.

His social worker turned around and offered him a warm smile.

"Hey, I know it's nerve racking. You don't know who you're going to be with or what everyone else has been through but I promise something good will come out of this. Everything is going to be okay." she said as she placed a gentle hand on Tendou's shoulder but he shrugged it off and nodded his head.

The kind lady gave him a look of pity and knocked on the door.

When the door opened it revealed a tall man who looked to be in his mid thirties. The man had a small conversation with the social worker then he reached his hand out for Tendou to shake, which the red haired boy hesitantly did.

"I'm Mr. Jones, nice to meet you Tendou. I hope you enjoy your time here and feel as if this is a safe place for yourself. Now let's bring you in so you can meet the others." he said with a warm smile while stepping aside for Tendou to come in.

Tendou stood there awkwardly staring at the ground, tuning out everything that Mr. Jones was telling the others about him until one thing the man had said caught his attention.

"Tendou is a mute so please don't try to force him to speak. If he wants to speak up, let him do it when he is comfortable to do so."

It was silent for a minute until a boy with spiky grey hair stood up with arms wide open and yelled "HEY HEY HEY" gaining laughter from all the others besides one boy who had a blank face, staring at him.

Tendou felt small under the other boy's intense glare.

The boy rolled his eyes and got up and stormed off somewhere and all that was heard was a door being slammed shut.

"Sorry about him. He's a bit grumpy today. I'm Bokuto by the way nice to meet you." said the same boy from earlier while bowing to greet him.

Tendou just smiled at the other and wrote down in his notebook "Nice to meet you too"

Then the others started to walk up and introduce themselves. He met Kuroo who seemed nice and funny, Akaashi which he learned to be Bokuto's roommate and best friend (even though he didn't act like it sometimes) then Oikawa and Iwaizumi who were also roommates.

He pulled out his notebook and wrote down "Nice to meet you all. I'm Satori Tendou but call me Tendou" and showed it to all of them earning a few nice to meet you toos from the others and an arm being slug around his shoulder that belonged to Bokuto.

They all sat around and everyone told Tendou some things about themselves and he wrote some things that he thought would be interesting down and showed everybody but then the door opened and in walked a lady he hadn't met before.

She greeted everybody then turned around and smiled at Tendou.

"Why hello there sweetie, I'm Mrs. Jones. Me and my husband run this together. Its very nice to meet you and I hope you enjoy your stay. You will be sharing a room with Wakatoshi...uh where did he run off to?" She finished by looking around for the said boy.

"He went back to the room ma'am" Kuroo stepped in and said, knowing damn well Ushijima wasn't happy about having to share a room.

"Oh okay well then, Tendou go ahead and get your bags and I will show you to your room." the lady said as she turned and started walking up the stairs.

When they got up there Tendou noticed how Mrs. Jones hesitated before knocking which scared him to think about.

He heard some slamming and shuffling before the door finally opened and it revealed the same tall boy who had stormed off earlier.

"Don't mess with my things and stay on your side of the room, don't talk to me and we won't have any problems" Ushijima said before storming out of the room knocking Tendous shoulder harshly as he walked past, also causing Mrs. Jones to back away as he glared at her.

"Well that was...exciting" She said lightheartedly trying to ease some tension but failed to do so and just made Tendou more nervous.

Tendou walked into his room after Mrs. Jones had told him a few rules and the dinner schedule, him finding out all the chores were done by roommates and tomorrow night would be his and Ushijima's turn to cook, while tonight they cleaned the kitchen after and in the morning they had to take all the trashes out while Boku and Akaashi cooked breakfast.

He set up the few things he had with him up and sat down on the bed awkwardly looking around until the door opened and Ushijima walked in.

He instantly averted his eyes down to not look at the taller.

"Pathetic" he heard Ushijima say under his breath but still loud enough to make sure Tendou heard him.

Tendou felt him shrink down on himself and didn't move until he heard the door slam back shut so he thought Ushi had left but when he laid down and looked up he saw Ushijima sitting down on his bed with a book in his hand reading.

Tendou smiled at how cute he thought the taller, more intimidating male looked reading, that is until his thoughts got cut off by the harsh words of the other.

"What are you looking at baka?"

Tendou felt his face heat up and he quickly shook his head side to side and rolled over burring himself into his pillow.

"Thats what I thought" Ushijima said as he went back to reading, leaving Tendou on his bed freezing (he didn't have a blanket yet, Ushijima was supposed to give him one) but nonetheless Tendou fell asleep and thats how t two of them stayed until dinner time came and they had to go down to eat.

uuuh, i'm so excited to post this book so i cut this chapter short

im so excited i love this ship they are so cute and they are my comfort ship while tendou is my comfort character.
