The new kid

chapter 1

Being the new kid isn't the easiest thing. I'm Ashley and I'm 16, I and my dad moved here a week ago. I start school which sucks, what's even worse is I'm starting a week late, YAY ME! My dad gave me money to buy things for school. I ride my skateboard to the mall and buy some clothes and things I need for school. I pull out my phone and text my dad I'm on the way home. I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking and I bumped into someone.

"I am so sorry" I get down and start picking my stuff up

"it's good" he gets down and helps me pick my stuff up.

We don't speak for a while until we get back and I never realized how he looked untell just know, he has blue eyes and brown hair.

"I never seen  you around here before"

"Yeah me and my dad just moved here a week ago"

"That's cool"

"Yeah"

We stand there quiet

"I'm Marcus, what's your name"

I fidget with my bracelet," Ashley"

"Nice bracelet where you get it"

"My mom gave it to me before she" I couldn't finish.

We stand there quiet, I hear someone behind me and I turn around. A girl starts walking towards us. She looks at me and gives me a cold smile and then goes to Marcus

"Babe I'm ready can we go now".

"Yeah come on"

They turn around, "see you around Ashley"

" yeah see you" but he was already gone.

I turn around and start walking away from that spot. I knew he would have a girlfriend I mean look at them they were meant to be. I got home and went upstairs to my dad's room, he was working at his desk working.

"I'm home dad"

He turns around " what you get"

I hold up the bags" just a couple of new things"

"Ok go wash up for bed you need to rest"

"Ok good night dad love you"

"Love you too" I put my stuff on my bed and go to the bathroom. I look in the mirror and start thing about Marcus. I tell myself that he has a girlfriend, and even if he didn't have a girlfriend he would never like someone like me. I was myself with water and go back to my room and flop on my bed and take out my phone. I open up Instagram and see everyone was talking about Valentine and thinking of Valentine brought that I don't like Valentine's because of the couple thing. I put my phone down on my desk and went to sleep. My alarm goes off the next morning. I get out of bed and tripped on something and ended face down on my floor I get up and start getting ready for school I pick out my black-ripped jeans and a black crop top with a hoodie. After I finish I go downstairs, my dad is downstairs making something.

" what are you making dad"

"A green smoothie" he turns around," you want some"

I make up my face," no thanks dad ill go with this bar".

I take the bar off the counter and put it in my backpack I look at my phone.

" got to do dad"

" ok see ya"
I take my skateboard up and start riding it to school. When I get to school there was barely anyone was there. I notice a girl sitting by herself so I went over to her.
