The Shopping Run In

The first week of school for Ruby was over. She hadn't spoken to Marilyn much but they still exchanged smiles every now and then. Ruby was starting to fall in love but she didn't know if Marilyn felt the same way and she didn't want her or him to get in trouble. After all this is her last year of school. She would hate to be expelled and ruin his career.
"Hey Ruby I'm going to go do the groceries, would you like to come?" Yelled Rubys mum from down stairs.
"Uh yeah sure." She replies.
Ruby chucked on her Marilyn Manson Jumper and her black skinny jeans. She then made her way down the stairs and into the kitchen.
"You ready to go?" Her mum asks.
"Yep."
"Okay then let's go."
The two arrive at the shops.
"I know him from someone....I think?" Ruby says.
There was a tall man shopping and Ruby thought she recognised him but she couldn't see his face. She kept staring at him. Trying to think of who it might be. Suddenly the tall man turns around.
"Omg it's Marilyn!" Ruby screams in her head.
"Wow....he looks so perfect." Ruby said whole fangirling.
Suddenly Marilyn spots Ruby and she blushes and disappears into the crowd of other shoppers.
"Omg. He saw me! What do I do? I can't approach him. No....I can't." Ruby says to herself while frantically thinking.
"Pssss.....Ruby. Can you please go down and get some more lady items." Ruby's mum said embarrassed.
Ruby's mum felt uncomfortable discussing pads and tampons but Ruby never knew why.
"Ok. I'll be right back." Ruby said.
Ruby made her way down the isial to the lady items section. She begin looking through to find the ones that her, her sister and her mum like.
"Uhh...these should do." Ruby thinks to herself.
All of a sudden Marilyn appears around the corner. As Ruby turns to leave the isial she runs straight into Marilyn. There bodies were pressed together for one second. But that one second felt magical to Ruby.
"Oh hey...sorry Ruby." Says Marilyn while blushing with embarrassment.
"Oh it's all good...." She says.
"You just shopping aye?" Says Marilyn while spotting the packet of tampons in Ruby's hand. Ruby then remembers that she's holding then and quickly throws them over the isial and hitting someone on the head.
"OW!" Screams and old man in the isial over.
"We should probably get out of here. What do you think?" Says Marilyn while grinning.
They both laugh and walking into the second isial over.
"You probably gave that poor old man a fright. He didn't expect to see a flying packet of tampons on his shopping trip." Said Marilyn while trying to not laugh.
They both continue to laugh. Ruby wanted this moment to last forever. Laughing away with Marilyn was her new favourite hobby.
"I should probably get going. You know....go get the lady items." Ruby exclaimed while blushing.
"Haha yes. Just don't hit anyone else with them." Said Marilyn while a smile and a laugh.
"Haha okay, deal."
"I'll see you on Monday Rubes."
"Cya!"
"Rubes?!?! Did he call me Rubes??" Ruby thought while she blushed.
Ruby had butterflies all in her stomach now. Her crush had called her Rubes! Ruby and her mum continued the shopping and made there way home.
Later that night.
Dear dairy,
So today was something else. I ran into Marilyn at the shops. I did the most embarrassing thing but he didn't judge me for it. I feel like I can really trust him and he understands me for me. When we said goodbye I really wanted to hug him but I chickened out. My goal for next week is to hug him. I know I can do it. Until tomorrow.
