The bright sun seeps through the window waking Jacob up. Once his eyes are completely open, he realizes he is still sleeping with the girl of his dreams and realizing that the nightmares that he seen the day before was not just a nightmare... its reality. So he stands up and slips on a pair of jeans which is lying upon the bedroom floor. He kisses Britney upon her check and then walks out of the bedroom. Once he enters the living room, he sees that Nick is all ready awake. He is sitting comfortably upon the couch and watching cartoons that are playing on the television.

"Morning Jake... how are you doing?" Nick turns down the volume on the television so Jacob can have his undivided attention.

"I'm all right unless you are talking about what I witnessed last night. Then I'm not too good. Something that I believed in to be a total fantasy turns out to be a reality. It's just mind blowing and the nightmares I had last night."

"Would you like for me to explain it to you better. I know that this is a lot to wrap your finger around."

"If you wouldn't mind... I was raised to be afraid of demons, but, also believed that I would never meet them face to face."

"Demons just scratch the surface of things. Let me make it easy to understand as possible. First try to think of the food chain of life, where everything is food for something else. Well in the supernatural world everything has somebody higher then them. Demons control zombies... vampires control werewolves... and can you believe that ninety-nine percent of the population of the universe at one time in their existence were once human and their choices as a human is what makes them the supernatural beings that they become." Nick pulls a pack of cigarettes out of his bag to allow Jacob to process that new information he has just received.

"Okay. So how do you kill them? Can I get one of those? Usually I don't smoke but given the circumstances." Nick hands him one, along with a lighter.

"I'm glad you have a lot of questions. There is only so many I will be able to answer. Usually decapitation kills demons and zombies... and tearing out a vampires or werewolves hearts will usually kill them and we will stick with that for now. There are more advanced ways but you are just a beginner so we will keep it simple for now." Britney slowly walks into the living room, wiping the crap out of the corners of both of her eyes.

"Good morning good-looking." Jacob states, as Britney sits right next to him upon the loveseat.

"Why didn't you wake me up?" She asks, grabbing Jacob's left hand with her right hand.

"You looked so sexy sleeping I didn't have the heart to wake you. Besides, Nick is explaining everything he does for a living and it's kind of interesting. Why don't you continue Nick? We are all ears." Jacob explains.

"Before you continue something is bothering me... why cartoons?" Britney asks.

"That is an easy question. After all the crap that I have witnessed and experienced in my life-time cartoons make me laugh and after everything laughing is the best medicine for the soul. You don't understand how valuable a soul can be... nor how powerful." Nick takes one last drag of his cigarette and puts it out in the ashtray that is in the middle of the coffee table.

"On that note I'm going to go back to my apartment and get some clean clothes." Britney kisses Jacob upon his lips and stands up.

"Why? You look fine just the way you are now."

"Thank you for the compliment... but yet I won't go into a restaurant looking like I just woke up." Britney exits the apartment.

"Well I guess that since we are going out to eat breakfast I am going to have to go get dressed myself. I can't say no to Britney... she is the best-looking girl that has ever liked me back." Jacob exits the living room and enters his own bedroom.
