"The Baconian cipher does not possess great strength against decryption; instead its immense power and intrigue resides in its ability to make mystery lie, or appear to lie, in everything." I could see all my students listening with immense curiosity.

"While most ciphers' strengths dwell in the difficulty of finding the key to unlock a pattern, the Baconian cipher's power lies in the challenge of uncovering its existence." Adrian knew how to keep his audience attentive. He was very knowledgeable in picking up the most suitable content for his audience. And right now, my students were very attentive in listening to his grasping lecture. And he had a great voice too.

"The cipher is only a simple substitution cipher in which one letter, or group of letters stand for one other letter. The letters never change what they stand for as long as the same key is used throughout a message. Now can anyone of you tell me the structure of the Baconian cipher? "

"The Baconian cipher employs this substitution method by assigning a string of five letters consisting of only a's and b's to each letter in the alphabet. The arrangement of a's and b's in the five letter sequence determines the alphabet letter in the message." One of my brightest students answered it for him.

After a three hours session the students were dismissed. I went back to the staff room to revise my notes for my nect lecture. However as I was in the middle of revising my notes, I was ushered to the Principal's room.

"Excuse me Sir, may I come in?"
"Oh yes come in Ms.Bella. Please meet Mr.Adrian."

"Hello Mr.Adrian, it's nice meeting you sir."
"Nice meeting you too Ms.Bella and please dont call me sir."
He smiled at me and it was dazzling.

Adrian, myself and the principal talked for sometime and then Adrian took his leave. I followed him out of the University to his car on the request of the principal.

"Ms.Bella, you have quite brilliant students out there."

"Thank you Mr.Adrian. I'm indeed very fortunate to have such students."

"It shows how dedicated you are at teaching your students"

"Nothing like that Mr.Adrian. It's just about their thirst for knowledge, that's all."

And then all of a sudden he said, "Bella, would you like to spend the evening with me at the cafe across the street?"

I was spellbound I didnt expect this conversation would end up this way. And I didnt miss the fact that he called me Bella instead of calling me Ms.Bella. He was expecting an answer and I was unable to give on.

And then I told him, "Oh sure, Mr.Adrian. We could do a cup of coffee."
