The was an air of instability around us. Both myself and Adrian were unable to decide what to do or how to proceed.
"What did he tell you Adrian?" I asked him.
"Well, he told me to give the reciever to you and that he has answers to your questions, that was why I gave it to you" he was being honest with me. I knew that he would want to clarify things before we could go forward.
"So what do we do now Adrian?" I was so struck that my mind could not come up with any reasonable conclusion.
I told Adrian all about his demands and he was equally confused as I was.
"Why would he want the books your grandfather gave you?"
We racked our brains but could not come up with anything that was convincing.
"Let's get to the bottom of the things. How did he come to know of the books? It's only been two days since I found the books and nobody but myself, you and my friends know it. How could he possibly have known?"
"Susan and Lizzie know about this?" Adrian asked me, I should've forgot to tell him.
"Of course they do, you know I tell them everything Adrian. Now please don't try to be childish" I was being too mean to him.
"Whatever, since you know that I have told no one, check it out with Susan and Lizzie."
I took out my phone and put Susan and Lizzie on conference.
"Hello Bella! What's up dude?" I could hear Lizzie's charismatic voice.
"Hang on Lizz, I'll put Susan on line"
"Hello Susan, Lizzie's on line as well"
"Oh, Hi Lizz. So what's the matter Bells. You just rang on me right in the middle of a Sunday", Susan was being slightly annoyed since Sunday is the only day she doesn't go to work.
"Listen guys, I need to know an important info from you guys. But I don't want to talk through the phone. So how about us meeting at our usual place" I was hoping that they would get the hint and not mention the name of the place.
Adrian warned me that this mysterious person could probably be tracking out phone calls as well. To my relief both Lizzie and Susan seemed to sense the tension in my voice.
"Sure thing Bella. Susan see you there"
"And guys dont bring your phones" I was sensible enough to know that locations could be found through phones.
"Bingo Bells, I need to get back. See in half an hour" Susan hung up.
"I'll join you guys soon. Bye Bella" Lizzie was gone too.
I placed my mobile and turned towards Adrian, "It's all set. We need to get going".
"And I'm going to find out what the hell is happening" I said to myself.
